The new 2016 HTC flagship will be coming soon, with a new branding, simply called 'HTC 10'!

Will this new refreshed HTC flagship save HTC from its concerning situation now? There's more to be seen..

HTC One M10 To Undercut Samsung Galaxy S7 And LG G5 Price With 16 GB Offering, In Addition To 32 And 64 GB Options

Link: http://www.techtimes.com/articles/1...ering-in-addition-to-32-and-64-gb-options.htm

Again wrong marketing strategy..........By offering a 16GB version, you will sell 32GB & 64GB version more expensive, because HTC spent money coming out 16GB, which incurred cost too.

They originally will sell 32GB & 64GB version, to compete directly with Samsung Galaxy S7 & LG G5.

HTC should just sell 32GB & 64GB version, compete with rivals by improving the hardware, custom modify Mashmallow further.............just like their previous M7, which is a breakthrough

Let's see how they fail this time.

black_,

Few years back, got several capable staff in HTC Singapore resigned, joined rival company or switched trade instead.

These capable staff foresee the marketing people in headquarter office cannot make it.

The camera used in One 10 is rumoured to be Sony IMX 377, the same one used in Huawei Nexus 5X & 6P.

The camera sensor size is 1/2.3inch, same as those used in cheaper compact digital camera.

HTC people says it's compelling, how could it be "compelling" ?

-----------------------------------------------

I have been wondering, M9 already uses 1/2.3inch camera sensor, with bad colouring image quality........

Why One 10 don't upgrade to 1/2 inch with F1.8 aperture ? Be daring enough, make a huge improvement over the rivals mah

Always liked HTC's Sense UI, but bye HTC. It's been nice. There's nothing "compelling" here.

I really like the sense UI since version 2.0 up to now. I like the boomsound as well. Goodbye HTC for now. time for me to try other brands now. if the next nexus that which will be created by HTC will have the boomsound then I might be back with HTC.

Sold my M9+ yesterday. :)

When HTC realises that it is not making any good
the one that is to be blamed is none other than
the CEO, the top man who rules the company.

His job is to stimulate his team to come out
something that not only appeal in its design but
capture the emotional aspects too.

Ever heard that phone manufacturers don't just
sell technology and design but they sell emotion too.

So what is lacking is marketing emotion followed by
the other things consumers are looking for in the product! =:p

HTC sent out invitations today for the unveiling of its 2016 flagship smartphone, which will be known as simply the HTC 10. The date for the launch event, to be held simultaneously in New York, London, and Taipei at 1 p.m. GMT on April 12, is not a complete surprise: It’s the same date seen on several of the renders that have been leaked thus far.

A 5.2-inch, Android Marshmallow 6.0-powered handset, the 10 is HTC’s attempt to reverse a several-year decline in profitability, including a particularly disappointing flagship performance in 2015’s HTC One M9. That device was widely panned for its imaging performance, a flaw that the company is hoping to correct with 10’s 12-megapixel UltraPixel 2 sensor, alongside laser auto focus and an optically stabilized f/1.8 lens.

It’s also set to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 system-on-a-chip, whose quad-core CPU has proven to be most capable in initial benchmarking reports. Combined with a QHD resolution, USB Type C connector, 4GB of RAM, and either 32GB or 64GB of flash storage (plus microSD expansion), and the HTC 10 is shaping up to be a powerhouse.

Perhaps the only drawback of the all-metal design is its lack of front-facing speakers, though the HTC Boomsound software audio enhancement remains.

VentureBeat will have full coverage of the event and all the news (at least one surprise announcement is expected) starting at 8 a.m. on the 12th.
