Hi everyone,

I have experienced locked AW recently and i have since tried many ways to make it work and have read up on forums and apparently it's not uncommon.

Some methods to solve it includes:
Unpair and pair again...
Disable wrist detection
Unlock the watch and disable wifi before wearing back on yr wrist... (Works for a day) then back to lock mode again.

Will be sending it for repair this friday...

Anyone else experience this issue?

A somehow summarized update:

Went to A.labs service centre.. waited for 30mins and i was attended by a CSR. (Shall not name her).
Told her my issue, she told me to hang on and went to the back office... 15 mins came out and told me to just simply disable wrist detection.
I told her that it's a cheap shot to 'fix' the problem and she looked at me sheepishly and say that it's a function! I told her no and ask her to send in for investigation... She comply...

two days later, had a call from them and they informed me that there's nothing wrong with my watch, they have reset the watch and i can come n collect the watch... waited for 20mins and i explained to the CSR that there's indeed a problem with my watch and he say he will check and went into the back office for a good 20mins... come out liao then say hmm i think it's software issue... can u call Apple instead?

Called Apple hotline... the CSR on the phone straight away understand my problem...put me on hold for 20mins... then assigned me to the AW specialist... ran some tests with the AW specialist... unpair /pair... disable this, disable that... test.. enable again then test... the results were the same...

Agreed with me that something's not right.. and ask me to bring it back to A.labs.... mentioned to me that he will call me again tmr when i am there...
Went there today and he did call me up and told me that he informed the technical staff there liao and long story short.. sent in my AW again...

To be continued....

I had the same problem when I first bought it... The guys at a.lab were not helpful at all. Kept on insisting nothing is wrong. Was forced to take it back but when I was inspecting the watch - found out there was a scratch on the stainless steel face. Made some noises and in the end replaced with a new one.

Ya they are not very helpful.. perhaps too little AW cases for them to learn....
Can tell that for iphones and Macs, they are more pro...:D

Collected my replacement watch liao..
Ask the CSR if it's a refurbished unit, she mentioned that for AW, it will be a new replacement.
It comes in an AW box.

It's just a very small box that contain only the watch without the straps? Not the actual retail box

A LAB is useless and hopeless.

I had iphone battery issue. Called apple, They guide me to reset the device and reload iOS. Did not resolved my issue. So apple told me being down to svc center aka A LAB so they can run physical hardware test with their equipment.

A LAB refused to accept my phone and say, this is a software issue. I told them, This phone is reset to default, No connected to icloud or email and no sim card install. Now the battery is already 80% since I left home (in airplane mode). So they reload the software again for me and the problem still there.

Give up call apple KPKB and they ship me a replacement device and this resolved my issue.

Well, we can blame service center who team up with 2nd hard mobile shop and took 8-10 iPhone still under warranty change for refurbished set. See at my own eye.

Looks like they are crap on iPhones as well!

Same issue happened to me last year and was the rear sensor panel dislodging, sent to A.Lab and got a replacement, even though was just over warranty. Nearly 3 mths later same thing happened, one morning took the AW out of the charger and the whole sensor panel came off, sent back as well and got another replacement.

So currently still surviving and hope it does until I get this year's model.
