Just asking for general knowledge, what about those higher diploma by BTECH UK to local UNI?
My Ngee Ann Polytechnic transcript says my diploma is comparable to the Higher National Diploma awarded in the UK. Does it mean similar to BTECH UK higher diploma?
I read the NUS admission criteria for Bachelor of Technology which says "Polytechnic Diploma in a relevant field of Engineering or equivalent local / foreign qualifications."

Does the BTEC UK higher diploma courses in engineering fall under this category?

While your NP transcript may say it is comparable to a UK diploma, it does not mean that the NP diploma will be automatically accepted by all UK universities.
It depends on NP's efforts to articulate their diploma to universities in uk, and whether the uk university is aware of such singapore qualification and whether the uk university deems it comparable.
Information on acceptable international qualifications can be found generally on the uk university's admission website for international students.
Alternatively, some polytechnics have a search tool on their website to show which overseas universities have they articulated their diploma to.

This apply similarly for BTEC diploma from uk.
For NUS, comparable international qualifications can be found here,

On a side note to further clarify for sleepystudent, diplomas awarded by PEI means e.g. Kaplan Diploma, SIMGE Diploma, PSB Diploma, etc.
Diplomas awarded by a foreign body, read in a PEI, are a different set altogether, but unfortunately, most are not recognized to be comparable for admission in a sg uni.
