It’s more than clear that we are not going to see any Nexus device this year, but what we will get instead is Google Pixel smartphones. The devices code-named Sailfish and Marlin which were believed to be the 2016 Nexus smartphones are now confirmed to come under the Pixel name, going for Pixel X and Pixel XL. Now there have been numerous leaks about these devices over the past few months and we know nearly everything about them from basic specifications, design and even the official release date.
Last month we revealed the prices these phones may come at, in response we saw a majority of readers saying that it was too high, and now we know why. These are not Nexus smartphones, they don’t have to follow the legacy of being cheap and powerful, these are Pixel phones. It’s a whole new lineup and hence the pricing is on the higher side. However after getting our noses deep down where they don’t belong we have a new piece of information, though partial at the moment. The Google Pixel XL will be Priced at $599 for the 32GB and $649 for the 64 GB variant, we don’t know if there is going to be a 128GB option at the moment. Another things is that there will be no Dust and Water protection on any of the Smartphones. The price of the Pixel X is somewhat still a mystery but we strongly believe that it should land below the $499 mark. Stay tuned for more exclusive information before the official launch on 4th October 2016.
