I had no issue with AJ. Rented once.

Hi,

Just wanna ask for AJ, is all cars for rental is automatic transmission?

Was trying to book a rental car in:
https://www.ajrentacar.co.kr/en/index.do#

For Navigation: 0 & 1?
Is 0 means don't want GPS, 1 means want GPS?

No option for English GPS?

Thinking of renting "All New Morning 1000 AT Gasoline" since it's one of the cheapest.

Any advice, please?

Thanks in advance.

I booked from a tour company and directed to AJ. Just key in telephone number. Voice in English but Korean words..

Bear in mind that not all destination it can locate. Google can turn by turn. I realised you could use apps called waze. I only found this apps after I came back. Anyone tried using it in Jeju?

they should specify if the car is automatic or not during the booking?

navigation should mean GPS.

the GPS language can be switched to English.

anybody knows if LPG or gasoline is cheaper in Jeju? talking about pump prices. trying to see if price difference is worth considering using a LPG car

also got to take note that LPG has like a tank in the boot, takes up quite significant boot space, may not be ideal if got a lot of luggage.

From web above,

LPG - 693.68 won;
Diesel - 1211.62 won;
Gasoline - 1417.19 won;

thanks for the info.
will be driving for 4d, seems like can save about half the fuel cost if using LPG, rental car is the same price for LPG & gasoline model anyway. just got to factor it less boot space for luggage.

I just went for about 6 days drive in Jeju using a 1,000cc Chevrolet small car. Gasoline costing about 50,000 won.

I find jeju petrol price is cheaper as compare to Seoul but inconsistent.

certain areas can goes like 1450 won for petrol while in city, 1550

price is even more expensive compare to sg, least we sg, got discount.. while theirs is nett..

For me at Aj Car rental, I just showed them my hp displaying the details of my booking only. Then they will scan a copy of my passport & international driving licence. Thereafter, paid the rental & insurance. That's all, then they will direct u to drive the car to the maintenance area whereby they will show u it's full tank & showing how to use their Gps. I further asked them how to set up to change Korean to English voice speaking instructions.

yes, I was like you until when I collect the car in jeju.

I'm using sixt, their cars pretty bad shape in terms of outlook.
lot of scratches and minor accidents.

company only cover a certain portion and should the accident be severe.
this is what a comprehensive comes in, have a piece of mind.

best is to buy the insurance during online.

I only bought the insurance when I reached jeju counter and it was much more expensive as compared to the net.

remember the few keys things to bring along:
- the credit card that use for payment, they would require to check again
- AA (international license)
- local license
- passport

Yes, can. One luggage in boot, one in back seat. Tt was wat i did. I drove the same car in jeju

My 29 inch luggage is just half of the car boot. Hence should be able to put both in.

I can gpgt here.
