Going to be someone's DIL soon. This thread reaffirms that living with in laws (esp mine) takes a lot of tolerance. Guess it's best that we live on our own.

Yes my wife and I don't agree with her methods but my wife doesn't want to start a quarrel with in-laws so I'm always the one saying my mum. Whenever i say her, she doesn't listen. My mum is the kind where she hearsay from her colleagues or friends did this and that and it works on their grandchild leh... we should try it on our son too.

heng my mil is good... my house under reno so i been staying in her house close to 3 months. everything good and she been taking care of my 2 kids age 5 and 2 since their birth. lucky me!

MIL so far is ok but FIL big NO! Sibeh pantang... go cut hair also must see the tong book if good day for cut hair. Give name for grandchildren must go calculate one, also needa avoid using same words and pronunciation with all the zhang bei(be it alive and passed away). Not even coming for baby shower or hospital to visit. Heard from some colleague that old folks feel child birth is consider dirty. Kaoz
