PruLifetime income is an annuity that pays you every year from the 2nd policy anniversary onwards, or you can choose to accumulate till the year you want to start receiving your payouts.

Premium term of 20 for male non-smoker anb 28 is $2425.50 minimum per year.

Total premium payable is $48,510 over 20 years.

Payout from 2nd - 9th policy anniversary = $330 non-guaranteed
Payout from 10th - 19th policy anniversary = $396 guaranteed + $330 non-guaranteed
Payout after premium term is done (20th anniversary) = $792 guaranteed + $990 non-guaranteed.

Death benefit is 105% of premiums paid during the premium payment years, and an increasing amount after premium payment years.

PruLife Multiplier flex with ECI 20 years 50k x4
Premium is $2,680.50/Yr for 20 years.

You will be able to claim the full 200k for ECI when age is <70. This covers you for life as well. This is an accelerated benefit meaning the plan ends when you claim the 200k.

Sorry made a mistake on the second quote, forgot to change some parameters, premium is $3,011.00 for 29 anb female non-smoker for Prulife Multiplier Flex!

The wrong quote was for the 28 anb male.

Hi blurpandasg2014,

If your friend is looking for Whole Life with 400% multiplier till age 70,

Aviva Whole Life is one of the most competitive in the market.
However, Aviva only has pay 10,15, or 25 years.

For your friend ANB 28, Female, Non-Smoker:

15-year Pay:
$50K Death/TPD/ECI, 400% Multiplier till age 70, thereafter 100% till life end costs $3,113/year.

Name: MyWholeLifePlan

How come the price for ANB29 so much difference
My bad actually she is ANB28. Will the price be similar to the anb28 male

ANB 28 will be $3,113/year, for a 15-year Pay.

If budget constraint can go for 25 years too, but 15 years will be better deal for her.

Aviva MyWholeLife is a head to head competitor to Prudential plan. Depending on the age group and gender. In some cases,eg older male, Prudential is better. In some cases, Aviva is better.

just found this thread and I'm interested but not sure about details about prulifetime iincome.

https://www.prudential.com.sg/en/our-solutions/products/prulifetime-income/

how does it work? When they say minimum annual premium, what happens if you pay more than that?

total premium payable is $48,510 over 20 years.

Payout from 2nd - 9th policy anniversary = $330 non-guaranteed
Payout from 10th - 19th policy anniversary = $396 guaranteed + $330 non-guaranteed
Payout after premium term is done (20th anniversary) = $792 guaranteed + $990 non-guaranteed.

So the payout is annual? Going by this, do you make a loss (as in you pay $48510 in total but eventually get $2640 in all for all of year 2-9, then $7260 in all for year 10-19, then after the 20th anniversary $1782 a year?) - that means round 41 years to break even?

Since this is supposed to be a perpertual income plan, it gives regular payouts. But what happens to the captital invested in it? Is the only way to get all of it back upon death or disablement? Any info on the surrender terms?

also can someone give some general figures for this plan with these parameters?

42M non smoker,
4-year term
premium of $2000 monthly

what kind of regular benefits are we looking at? The borchure says yearly cash benefit of around $1000-$5400 yearly cash benefit, but what about the monthly payout?

finance noob here, please entertain, thank you

For the prulife time plan, I was quoted a premium of around $96,000 over 4 years. Does anyone know how they calculated this?

I did not do any calculation. This plan is basically an insurance cum savings plan with cashback. The cashback is the pull factor for most people.

Returns are not guaranteed.

Basically, you are just putting money in a savings plan which probably gives you a 1-3% pa returns at its best.

You can achieve the same returns if you put your money elsewhere.

If your objective is for insurance, opt for some term insurance instead.

thank you, what other options would you recommend?

Do you know how they calculate the total premium required for this?
