I heard Y1 quite easy to get in but once go in have to stay for 2 years complete all the RC mods

Sent from Huawei NEXUS 6P using GAGT
My friends from CAPT, Tembu say theirs is a 2 year prog. My friends in RVRC are doing a 1 year prog, can be out by Y2S1 (but RVRC dining hall not up yet so I wouldn't consider it the 'full' RC experience)

RC mods can be a blessing at times (pass/fail) but also means that you may not have THAT much room to explore what you want, UTown RCs have to take GER1000 & GEQ1000 (might have changed again) and they forsake the other GE Pillars for the RC mods. RC mods tend to be seminar style-ish, which I like. RVRC only has to take GER1000 because they have GEQ1000 integrated into their RC prog already
I want to try RVRC... now they say they changed it to 2 year programme but first year still do the same three mods

Now cracking my brains on how to write that 500 word essay...

The joke is that I have to take their ES1601 as an UE because for that specific mod, SDE exemption applies to Real Estate only :s22:

I heard the mod wise abit more shag as compared to other RCs (mainly because its graded... not Pass/Fail aka Successful/Unsuccessful) . You'll also be eating alot from the worst subway on earth for most meals till the dining hall is up hahah

Hi guys. I have a few questions that I hope some of you guys out there can give me answers/opinions.

I am in NS right now, but already have a spot in NUS with double degree: mechanical engineering w aeronautical specialization and econs.

I have a few questions:

1. Advices on the workload taking double degree, having to study double of what others are studying but given an extra year (5 instead of 4)

2. Is it worth it to take the double degree, aware that it doesnt give me that much of an advantage since its of the same education level (a degree) and not a masters but it helps to broaden my career path.

3. Since econs is part of FASS, then FASS students usually study subjects across the FASS then second year start studying their chosen course (be it econs, psychology, etc). So do I have to do the first year thing since I have already chosen econs?

4. How does NUS aeronautical compare to NTU aeronautical? In terms of teaching style, world ranking, how does it compare against each other in terms of employer choice?

5. If I manage to get a scholarship, and I drop my econs degree in the middle of my uni, will the scholarship still hold? (NUS scholarship or coporate scholarships)

Thanks in advance and appreciate any advices and answers.
Cheers.

1. Typically double degree means you fulfil all the module requirement for both bachelor's of Econs and Mech Eng. You need to count the number of modules you have to take. The averagr person will do around 5 modules per semester. 1 module is 4 MC (modular credits)

Otherwise you can consider doing a minor or second major (I'm doing second major in Econs)

2. I don't know if it is worth it. But if you want to learn you can always do a double degree.

3. I'm not in FASS but I attended econs camp and have some friends from FASS. They were advised to 'explore' from year 1 and those mods not related to your major will be counted to faculty requirements for FASS. You need to clear a certain number of faculty mod outside of your major for both Mech Eng and FASS. If you want to start with Econs, it's fine by all means too. But first sem I think you'll take only EC1101E since you'll be excused for the foundational math mods necessary for econs (which is precluded by your MA1505)

Hi all, I have some questions that I hope you guys can give your opinions/answers on.

With regards to the BBA Curriculum 2017,

1) Is there a difference between Bachelor of Science (Business Analytics) and the newly introduced Bachelor of Business (Business Analytics)?

2) How big is the cohort size for BBA(Business Analytics)? Is it difficult to specialise into business analytics in the second year?

3) your thoughts on NTU (business analytics) vs NUS (business analytics)?

Sorry if these questions have been asked before, havent got the time to read all the posts.
Appreciate your replies! thank you!

not elite. applied... got a few interviews, wasnt successful. :s13::s13:

what you wanna know?

What did you apply for and did you put in a lot of effort just to apply for one? :o
I'm aiming for internships instead of scholarships tbh, cause I don't think it'll be that easy. Also, there's the bonds to serve... :')
