Recently I noticed that there are an increase of forumers asking and discussing about mITX (Mini ITX) builds.

My main aim of this thread is to share and discuss ideas on building an mITX or Small Form Factor (SFF) PC and for anyone that need some help on getting started, e.g. components and pricing etc.

Whether it's an entry level PC or ultra-high-end gaming system, Intel, AMD or Nvidia, I hope these posts and advices will be beneficial to everyone moving forward. :o

I will start the ball rolling on my 2nd humble mITX build [Project Rainbow] for the year 2017.

Wow yr components are all high end!

Here's mine (very humble):

CPU | Pentium G4560
Mobo | Asrock Fatal1ty Z270i Gaming ITX
GPU | EVGA1050TI
Memory | Corsair Vengeance LED 3000MHz (8GBx2)
Storage | Samsung 850EVO 256GB
Case | Jonsbo VR1
PSU | EVGA G3 550W 80+Gold
CPU Cooler | CoolerMaster 212 LED
Bottom Intake fan: Corsair ML120 Maglev @980rpm, IDLE
Top Intake fan: Gentle Typhoon AP15 @550rpm, IDLE
Misc Accessories | Deepcool RGB strips, Silverstone 12cm ultrafine fan filter

Purpose built for 1 game: Cities Skyline :o

I loved the case so much, I bought a second one to builld another system for a relative.

I think for ITX/SFF systems, component choice is really crucial, to balance performance, heat, noise and dust

you more power.... build one ITX for one game nia.... lol

jokes aside, what you mentioned in bolded is the crux of mITX build....balance is the key... for my build i didn't cater much for noise as i go for power and minimum cables hence might not be so balanced...going to fine-tune it further after initial start :o

yep the psu is cable tied as 1.) i dont have a bracket 2.) it makes more space

17951854_10156251264770620_4518673666691587058_n.jpg

added the Grid+ V2 in the front, right where the 2.5 ssd bracket is

decided to get some custom cable, exact length thus cant use on other cases LOL!
