So now they do not believe in selling on internet any more !
There's no one-way solution for every thing, because some may want to have a feel of the item before buying it thus with Xiaomi opening official stores, it provides customers an official channel to purchase their products and also get a hands-on of the product.

In China, Xiaomi is changing its way of operations with more focus on offline shops too as they realised that a huge bulk of consumers still purchase mobile phones from brick-and-mortar stores(this is where OPPO/vivo thrives healthily) whilst there's only a small percentage buying from online.

Oh noes, there goes blockbuster phone.:(
This Mi 5X is geared towards the offline market, competing with the likes of OPPO and vivo.

That's why they're learning OV too by getting a popular celeb to endorse the phone, with Xiaomi getting Kris Wu to endorse the Mi 5X.
Kris Wu has a huge fanbase, thus by tapping on his popularity Xiaomi could hope that the Mi 5X would get good sales as like the OPPO R9s and vivo X9 for example.

Specs is not what Xiaomi is focusing for Mi 5X, because people who buy phones from offline stores don't really care much about specs (also why OPPO manage to sell its R series very well despite its mid-range specs), but they care more on whether the phone will lag and/or the camera is good or not for example.
That's also why the poster states the phrase '拍人更美' that big, to tell people that its camera is good and best for taking portraits (girls will like it, also Kris has many girls idolizing him too).

Main focus will be the announcement of MIUI 9, along with mid-range mobile phones featuring Snapdragon 6 processors(including Snapdragon 625/626/630/660)~

Xiaomi Mi 6 will be among the first batch of Xiaomi Phones getting MIUI 9.

It's not the blockbuster phone. Mi 5X (code name tiffany) is actually the rumored Redmi Note 5A. The blockbuster phone should be code name jason, SD660, 6GB RAM, 5.46inch display, dual camera.

Hope the release a 660 range :s12:
