Never seen those DNS IPs before  Im always assigned

43.245.107.6 & 43.245.107.37

While 43.245.107.37 is very problematic 43.245.107.6 works just fine and according to test done before its faster than google and openDNS

any comments on Whiz Comms? choosing between M1 and WhizComms

I was considering as well, m1 is cheaper with lower speed, but you will NEVER saturate 300mbps unless you are hardcore uploading and downloading terabytes of data to local servers.

M1 is also its own opco while whizcomm is just riding on singtel.

After hellish experiences with MR and VQ, small isp, I scared to try whizcomm

I recontracted at authorized M1 shop but was not given a receipt..

They did however send a PDF copy of the contract to my mailbox if I need to claim warranty for the router I give the contract?

Bro, care to share your bad experiences with MR and VQ?

U can go see their threads I've posted there before.

MR, terrible customer service always lying, say call back never. When I signed up they had a dns service similar to VQ to watch Hulu and Netflix, when Netflix started clamping down they suddenly decided to "not support it anymore". Then bo hiu me when I call them.

VQ, been a loyal customer since around 2013. One of their strongest advocates. They were really good until they dropped their it show pricing to $49.

Signed up for VQ at my new house, they appeared at the wrong address. A few times after when my internet got issue, they reset the modem and screwed up the connection at the wrong address again.

The final straw was when my parents place VQ contract ended, they move to m1. And VQ TERMINATED MY SERVICE ADDRESS INSTEAD of my parents.

That, on top of the ridiculous number of outages, bad pings, slow speed etc. They have. And u wonder why have to pay 2x or 3x m1 prices when it's so crap?

Currently using 203.211.152.66 and 210.193.2.66 as DNS.

Are there better options to use?

Also, is anyone facing problems with their router on 5G? I'm using the Asus RT-AC68U.

5G is very spotty. Network keeps disappearing.

2.4G is perfectly fine.

Does anyone have any idea?

Which plan are you on ?

Those pair seems like serving business plan.

If the person Need always be online better to have dual fibre

I'm on hub and m1 fibre but will be cutting off mine m1 soon as now no need dual fibre
If hub down then use my mobile data until it's up
Since I don't stream or game or dL madly
Only play mobile games haha

You using internet in midnight is it? M1 Fibre maintenance typically 2-5am deh, frequency higher than in the past maybe because they're increasing handling capacity?

Official reply from m1.

Thank you for contacting M1 regarding 1Gbps fibre broadband and GamePRO
1Gbps.

As per our checking, GamePro 1Gbps plan is only beneficial if the game
servers are hosted in the United States. For game servers hosted in
other countries (e.g. Japan) there is no difference between the normal
1Gbps and GamePro 1Gbps plan. The routes are identical.

In that case, where does the few extra Mbps for the gamepro comes from ?

I reset my modem and router three times.
Keep getting the same IP address. Using 1Gbps here. So we are getting static ip address now?
