Study to get a degree is over rated cos over supply of degree.

If you are really really good in gaming, go for it. But chances are you are not.

If you are satki in coding and programming, I will advise u not to go for degree. Just go for programming.

Think at this stage can say this probably means don't really know what is good for self. If not wrong, gaming to most is a short lived career no matter how successful, what next after that. Need to have something fall back on once the career over.

So, higher education don't say. But at least the basic education still must finish. If not will become illiterate and ignorance. Must have enough decent exposure to other aspect of life one, which at this age more is about learning. So, think probably should knock some sense into the kid. :s22:

Some parents ask their kids to finish high school education first or take a year off to try gaming before going back to high school.

Like zai formerly of Evil Geniuses. Your cousin parents can use him as example

Hear already jin scared, my 8 and 12 year old boys already hooked on handphone and laptops. My hubby should take over control , I am too easily manipulated by them. Is it to late to set parental controls? They will sure revolt. So far I only subscribed to M1 light control, blocking pornography and violence on their handphone data usage but the next level blocks a lot of things including YouTube which my younger one loves so he was very upset when I blocked it. Is Dota a payable game? Cause I don't allow them to play games that require payment.

To be honest he's only 14, how mature can he really be in term of decision making? Thats usually the age guys/teens starts to think of guai guai thing isnt it? I remember when I was 14 I wanted to be full time arcade player, join competition etc and wanted to quit school.

Anyway to register as a pro player, isnt the min age 18??

I think it would be best to at least study till Sec 4, and have an 'O' level certification as something to fall back on in case it doesn't work out

pro need to put in a lot of time and effort into the sport.

they watch videos play hours of game, come up with different strategies to outsmart their

opponents, its not as easy as it seems.

E-game sports to be honest is going to be one of the next big thing, if you read up carefully

more people actually tune in to watch Dota international compared to NBA finals.

If you look ahead maybe 10 or 20 years from now, E-game sports athletes "may" earn as much

as our top professional sports players
