Another problem now ... my 4 years old intel SSD with windows 7 can't work on my new pc... can't detect to install windows 10 OS but work perfectly fine in old pc when I plugged it back

ASRock AB350 Gaming K4 + Ryzen R5 1600 (6 Core 12 Threads up to 3.6Ghz)

The reason been is that current hardware support only windows 8.1 (maybe can) or windows 10.

that's why when u plug in a win7 OS into the system, it wont be able to detect.

Hi guys, looking for a build within 2k, usage for gaming, no intention of OC-ing.

Currently threw together the following:
ddr4 kingston x2 8gb
samsung 250gb ssd
seagate 1tb HDD
gigabyte itx 1070
corsair cx650w
asus prime b350 plus
ryzen 1600

Would appreciate any and all help/advice, and also suggestions for a sound and wireless card.

Thanks!
but how much is your following items price?
next any reasons u would like to get a sound card?
as for wireless card, how far is your router away from your pc? if its quite far and have a few walls in between, even the best wireless card, may not achieve your expected speed. but if u are doing it for gaming, best played it on LAN connections.

For the prices,

drr4 kingston 8gb x2 - 198
samsung 250gb ssd - 149
seagate 1tb - 72
gigabyte ITX 1070 8gb - 669
corsair cx650w - 119
asus prime b350 plus, ryzen 1600 (Bundle) - 479

Totalling to 1686

Came from laptops, so thought a sound card is a must, apparently it isn't so scratch that. Any better set-ups or cost-effective suggestions are appreciated. Would also like suggestions for a case.

Cheers

Im also having this issue. I want to place the pc in the living room.
Good to be small & compact. I also don't play games.

Is it more economical to DIY a smaller flat bed cpu or just buy this Asus kind of mini pc.

My concern is more on the video/sound ability to display good 4K quality movies from pc via HDMI.

Hi, appreciate if anyone can recommend a simple setup using m-itx case? PC will be more for home entertainment (movies, music). Or am I better off just getting a Asus vivomini PC? Budget around $700-800. Thanks.

Thanks Boss,
Noob Qn, why SSD + HDD?
Why not solely SSD as SSD is faster?

Normally use SSD for windows, HDD for backup storage?

Try 2nd hand.

A decent 24" monitor is like 180? 16gb ram even budget ram set you back 200. For around high-ultra you need at least 1060 3gb but considering mods, maybe 6gb version which costs around 420?

You left 200 for mobo + processor + psu + case + os or any other accessories like wifi dongle etc. Didnt even include a ssd...

Alternatively, lower your expectations or save more money first? You cant expect too much from 1k

Found out that make fine has this case, so it's more convenient to purchase :) and yes 150W PSU is included!

Even second hand, unless u are Super lucky and able to meet someone who is selling his parts dirt cheap, $1k Budget hardly able to get a setup to run a modded skyrim at ultra setting

Ssd not necessary and I can buy later, keyboard mouse dongle and os already have.
I only use gameplay mods, no graphic mods. If only one 8gb ram stick possible? another stick can be bought later as well.

Advice on replacement

Hi, I am currently on the following specs which has lasted 5 years.

Intel Core i5 3470 & Asrock B75 PRO3 M
G.Skill DDR3-1600MHz 8GB (2X4GB)

Recently, the PC has repeated random occasional BSOD and will keep restarting without reaching boot screen. I have done bread boarding (but realised this mobo no speaker) and the problem recurs when I attach the ram (both pieces solo at various slots resulted in the restarting syndrome). Noticed quite a few users here experience this problem as the PC gets old.

Can get some advice on what will be a suitable replacement spec please? I only use PC for internet surfing now, no more gaming. Am looking for value for money and reliability (would be willing to pay more if any particular brand tends to last longer).

Will also need a PCI slot for creative soundcard.

Thank you.

:o
