GPU: ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1070 $649

Drop the 7600k to the non k 7600
Can get Kingston value rams should be around $200 or less
Mobo change to Asus prime B250M-K (bundle with 7600 got slight discount)
Case go for tecware F3 Elite
GPU go for Galax gtx 1070 EXCO SNIPER

Good luck with your build bro, think this is the max able to stretch unless u want to venture into 2nd hand items.. << be prepared for any risk involved

hi guys! i need another help again.

i would like to build another pc to be placed at the living room of my own house. just need cpu only.

not using to play game. just to stream and also watch movies. will link to my tv in the living room thru HDMI.

can the bros here intro me any cheap setup that can fit my needs? or should i just an 2nd hand SFF or small pc with older tech? because i saw alot going at like 250 bucks. will it be better to just get a new one to be more worthy?

Hi guys my pc recently kept freezing and can't boot up probably because of overheating. So I was thinking about upgrading a few of my pc component.

Motherboard: ASRock H81M-HDS
CPU : i5 4460 3.2GHz
PSU : Seasonic S12II-620 80 bronze 620W
Cooler: Nil

I was thinking of upgrading the above part but I was thinking will newer motherboard require me to upgrade my ram as well since my current ram is ddr3. Also do I need another ssd for my OS if I change motherboard? I mainly use my pc for gaming.

Budget : 800~

No cooler? That explains the overheating. Did u ever tried using the stock Intel cooler that came with your CPU?

In my opinion, since u are not using it for gaming. Only for purely streaming and watching movies from youtube(?) .
U can consider getting a Intel comput stick latest gen with core m instead of atom. It will fulfill your needs perfectly. And u can get it with $100-$200 which saves u quite a sum of money compared to buying a itx build. With the money saved, u can use it to upgrade to the next gen Intel stick in the future.

Ram price too high for me to stomach.
Since my mobo acting up a little, I'm going to get just the mobo. Any local distro have new mobo below S$200 for LGA1155 slot with PCIE 3?

hi bro. thanks for the reply! i went to take a look at intel computer stick at lazada and filter the range to the price of maximum 400sgd, they only show Atom base intel stick. you can help? or should just get itx or 2nd hand?

thank you!

i forgot intel reflash the atom line with Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor. that processor isn't that bad, that base model comes with 32gb ssd ,2gb ram and ac wifi which is pretty decent for your needs. I wanted to tell u to avoid the Intel Atom Z3735F processor version of intel compute stick as its a older 2015 model and get the newer x5 atom or core m instead :)

if u go hunting in carousell and don't mind used compute stick. u can get the first gen atom z3735f at just $50,$70 and new for $150. And the new atom x5 model for used $150 and new $200+. not sure if carousel links are allowed but ya, people are selling it in those price. Maybe hwz marketplace also got people selling at similer prices. Cheers

for a new itx build for your needs.
1) either ryzen 3 1200 or G4560 with itx mobo [$200-$300]
2)intel hd grahic for intel, but u need a gpu for ryzen, either a used cheap gpu or gt1030 or rx450 for around [$0 for intel or sub $100 for ryzen 3]
3)small budget ssd 120gb[$80]
4)itx psu and case cheapest [ around $100-$150]
5)windows 10 [$12 carousel]
6) 4gb ddr4 ram [$45]

so a new itx build would cost u from around $537 - $687

unless u can find 2nd hand haswell and above itx build from hwz, vrzone ,carousel and the likes

Hi Guys,

I am looking to build a PC that can support 3 x NOX emulator while running mobile game lineage2(a game that is to be played inside NOX emulator).
I also want to surf net/youtube while running these emulators without lagging.
I intend to let it run 24/7 without switching off and let it last for years.

Any recommendations and what should I look out for to build such a PC(budget 1.1k)

Some1 already recommended once but would like to have more opinions. Thanks!
Intend to buy all parts from pc themes... any1 have any suggestion?

This recommendation provided already so solid, u don’t want buy online just head down to SLS and buy all the relevant parts. Ask them to build for u also.

Hi MajinBuui,

I have recommended an AMD Ryzen R5-1600 build as it has more cores & threads (6 cores/12 threads) versus current generation Intel i5 (4 cores/4 threads). More cores and threads will be better for multitasking.

Prices for the suggested build as below. Shop names are in brackets. I have included the links to the parts sold in Qoo10 & Lazada.

CPU & Motherboard Bundle: Ryzen 5 1600 & Asrock AB350M @ $436 (PC Themes)
RAM: Crucial DDR4-2400MHz 8GB @ $95 (PC Themes)
GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 AMP Edition 3GB GDDR5 @ $289 (Qoo10) *
SSD: PNY 120GB @ $80 (Qoo10) *
Hard Disk: Toshiba 1TB 7200RPM @ $63 (PC Themes)
Casing: Tecware F3 Elite (Red/White) @ $52 (Dynacore)
Power Supply: EVGA 500B Bronze 500W @ $78 (Lazada) **

Total Cost : $1093 (After applying Qoo10 $5 off & $50 off cart coupon - Valid until 17th Sept)

* Take note that you will need to separate your Qoo10 purchases into 2 carts (1 for the SSD & the other for the GPU) to use both cart coupons. $5 off cart coupon is for min $25 purchase. $50 off cart coupon is for min $300 purchase. The cart coupons are only valid until 17th Sept.

** For further discounts on Lazada, you can use their Citibank credit card promo code "OFFICIALCITI" for 8% off capped at $20, LiveUp (5% rebate) and Shopback.

Details on LiveUp and Shopback:

those bundles sold by shops in sim lim, is OS and office included?

means they havent add the software price in isit? i have to buy and install it means add $200 around there for software?

eg http://www.mynextcomonline.com/all-u-need-for-gaming/
Gigabyte H110M-DS2
Intel i5-7400
G.Skill Value 2400MHz 8GB(1x8GB) 15-15-15-35
1TB 7200rpm HDD
Gigabyte GTX1050 D5 2GB
Gamemax Case with 2 LED fans
FSP HEXA 450W 80+ PSU
$888

any comments on the specs for this price?

Well yes. As there isn't any other description saying with windows and office. That means u still have to get your own.

Price wise u can go and find PCT or makefine price list to check if the amt they selling is it over rated. (But please do know that the price they sold at might have come with a small fees of labour fee.

Hi, looking to build gaming PC. Any comments? So far not 100% sure if Mobo, Cooler and PSU are the correct choices. Esp Mobo, since I only want mATX but there are still quite a few brands and models to choose from still.

Wait for the new coffeelake i7 which gives you 6 cores. Mobos not announced yet so gotta wait.

If you cant wait, will recommend an amd ryzen r5 1600 over the 7700k.

As for psu, at that price point, would recommend superflower leadex gold, evga g3 or the new seasonic focus plus.

The above psu are all fully modular and around the same price point.

For the cpu cooler, I would highly suggest air coolers over aio at that price point. Reason being aio pumps are known to have shorter longevity compared to air coolers. Not to mention that cheaper aio usually does a subpar job at cooling when compared to a decent air cooler.

So unless you are getting the higher end aio, stick with an air cooler. I would recommend the cryorig h7.

If you are planning to get the amd ryzen instead and planning just a mild oc, then you can forgo the cpu cooler as the stock cooler(yes it comes with a stock cooler unlike intel) is pretty decent.
