Flight and accommodation settle. Dec 10-16 staying at Chevron Renaissance. Studied there for 4 years but that was more than 12 years ago. This time i'm bringing my wife and children. I know the place but will not be doing much driving maybe perhaps the last 2/3 days.

Welcome any info on getting online tickets etc. Have not been on a holiday for a few years so this is a trip i'm looking forward too

Day 1(Dec 11)

Probably free and easy. Rest a bit after the flight. Do some grocery shopping and walk around surfers paradise.

-----

Day 2(Dec 12)

Probably whole day at Movie World. Have not gotten the tickets yet but was looking at this https://www.kkday.com/en/product/6593 SGD$138 for 2 adults/1 child. Anyone bought theirs from there? Legit?

-----

Day 3(Dec 13)

This one haven't decided yet. Might go to Wet n Wild in which case the tickets from the kkday website or Brisbane to catch up with old friends and visit Southbank

-----

Day 4(Dec 14)

Trip to Bryon Bay in which case will rent a car and explore the areas down there. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary perhaps?

-----

Day 5(Dec 15)

Get some shopping done. Harbourtown/Australia/Pacific Fair?

-----

Day 6(Dec16)

Go home(boo hoo)

Think you're same era as me, was in UQ back in the days.. and usually do day trips to GC. Everything should seem familiar to you.. head to Sunnybank for taiwanese hotpot? If it's still there..

There are some discount websites around, although I never used kkday before. Sounds like you're pretty much all sorted anyhow. Bryon Bay is nice, but it really just feels like a smaller and more expensive version of southern Bali without clubs on the beaches. For me personally, I would only recommend it if you have run out of other places you want to go to.

Do you know some? I might have missed it. I've looked at experienceoz, themeparks.com.au, goldcoastpasses.com.au

I liked byron bay the last time i was there. Either that or drive up sunshine coast if i'm up for it

Hey there,

For day 1 right, if you heading to surfers, depends on the days. There is night market along surfers paradise. You can check it out.

For theme parks, i rather you go for dreamworld then movie world as its 2-3 timea bigger and the rides are much xiong! If you plan to go water parks too, there should be a 7 day pass which includes the water park beside dream world, dream world entey and also the skydeck which you able to see 360 view of gold coast.

For byron bay wise, i didnt went before as i didnt make the drive up. So i cant five tips.

For shopping, i reckon habourtown to be on top of the list as there is lots of outlet shop. If plan to shop, i suggest you come at 10am and shop till you drop cause it close by 6. The other 2, i just briefly went it as chasing for time. So cant comment much.

Hope these will help ya.

Did my 6 days GC trip last year July

took taxi from Airport - A$65 (inclusive of airport tolls) to Surfers Paradise
For theme park, only went Movie World.
from Surfers Paradise, took public bus TX2 (journey took 33mins bus + walk)
** I purchase my movie world ticket A$60 from this online website. They have a shop at Surfer Paradise too. http://www.tctm.com.au/products.php?m=4&attr=18

Went for Jet Boating too. Got my ticket with skypoint package.

There is so call a "night market" aka beachfront market at Surfers Paradise on certain day.
http://www.surfersparadise.com/things-to-do/beachfront-markets

Also did Hot Air Ballon which cost A$299 include general admission to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
http://www.cws.org.au/cws-ticket/hot-air-ballooning/

For shopping, went Robina Town Centre (Thur open till 9pm) and Pacific Fair

I'm deciding between currumbin wildlife or paradise country. Been to currumbin wildlife but that was decades ago

I know friday is one of them if my memory recalls properly. For themeparks, there is an offer 30$ for 30 days pass for dreamworld / whitewater world. Links belows and its only 5 day flash sale. Cheers.

That's a sweet deal but limited to Australian residents? Read the fine print but doesn't state it. This looks good

Have bought many time as we frequent GC, not limited to australian, anyone can use it. Once print out your voucher can go the counter, I remember they took photo and printed out a card.
