Hi Guys , I'm thinking of connecting my Acer Helios 300 laptop to an external monitor for gaming. Will it help to improve my refresh rate if i get a higher hz monitor as my current laptop is only 60hz. Will it cause delay if i connect it to an external monitor or will the refresh rate still be 60hz?

higher hz monitors u will definitely get more frame rates, also you have to remember some in game settings have their refresh rates locked to 60, so you might not notice the difference unless u change the settings.

also dont expect too much out of your 1060 laptop gfx card.. its good but not damn good.. :D so it depends on what games u are playing

I'm normally playing Pubg only. What's the highest refresh rate I can go on my graphic card and on pubg?

That depends on whether or not your GPU can take advantage of the higher refresh rate of that external monitor. For instance if youre buying 120hz monitor, how sure are you the laptop is strong enough to run the game at 120hz?

Not to mention whether or not the monitor has gsync is a major factor. If it has no gsync you're either only going to be able to run the game at 120, 60, or 30 etc, without any in-between (unless you disable vsync and live with the screen tearing)
