anyone have any idea of prince2 popularity in sg? and which industry is it more popular in.

people who are familiar with Prince2 and in the IT Industry would usually prefer Prince2 over PMBOK which is a more general purpose project management methodology. Each will have it's own strengths and weaknesses. Ultimately which framework you use is not important... what's important is that you use something

PMBOK is more challenging, US centric company prefer PMBOK

PRINCE2 2009 is phasing out. January 2018 will be PRINCE2 2017 liao. Heard is more difficult.

Prince2 is more process orientated and teaches you the methodologies while PMP go in depth to these processes and preaches best practices on coming up with plans and documents to support your pm work.

Either one is good, just go read some of the materials and see which style suits you more. Also, it depends on your industry. IT product should go for SCRUM, infra go for CITPM. Non IT can consider PMP or Prince2.

Lastly, PMI coming out with sixth edition pmbok which covers agile in their process group now.

hi, i am taking pmp right now and am thinking of doing Prince2 or PMP-ACP next..

read up about prince2 2017 and prince2 agile.. is there any difference between this 2?
