How do you link your acc to a multi currency acc? I have a dbs multiplier acc and have been trying for quite some time alr but can't seem to do it. No idea why...

can do it on ibanking or digibank app or call CSO to do it

under card services, there's an option to change card linkage. just need to set your multiplier account as the primary account of your visa debit card.

Kopitiam outlets slowly rolling out Visa paywave topup facilities for the Kopitiam cards, so stop all that cash topups now =:p

Note that there is a 2.0% surcharge, so overall the net discount is 3.1%.

such loophole will either be ineligible for cashback in the first place or get fixed sooner or later.. it's categorised as payment for topping up of prepaid payment service. same as the ez-link top up exclusion.

don't forget DBS have an official account here in hwz forums.

There's no indication this is a "loophole." It's functionally equivalent to buying FairPrice gift vouchers, Apple iTunes gift cards, or topping up your Starbucks card. All of those are within the rebate terms and conditions. A Kopitiam card can only be used at Kopitiam, and that seems to be a key dividing line. It's not another generalized form of payment, such as EZ-Link or NETS FlashPay.

On the other hand, Visa and MasterCard might not appreciate what Kopitiam is doing. Generally, a cash discount is allowable within merchant agreements with card networks (and issuers) but not a card surcharge. That seems like a small point, but the card networks take it quite seriously since it's a significant difference to them (and to consumers). So if anybody has a problem with this, it might be Kopitiam. We'll see.

Agree with you that in principle, Kopitiam shouldn't be excluded as it is functionally equivalent to gift vouchers. As the purchaser is bound to use the "currency" at that particular merchant, it is still a discretionary purchase (i.e. a purchase that can be manipulated by consumer incentives) at the end of the day.

In practical terms however, the difference is that banks could not exclude purchase of gift vouchers at FairPrice since they cannot determine whether your are purchasing gift vouchers or actual goods/services (or a combination of both). OTOH Kopitiam does not accept Visa/MC direct payment, so it would be easy to exclude it in future if they so wished - principles be damned.

Their website is silent about these new Visa Paywave points .

This is definitely not a loophole.

Isn't this the same way as top up for Fevo card. It attracts top up "convenience fee" too, and it has been in market for years.

can u elaborate what is not working?

Android Pay - Default Card select DBS Debit Visa

The transactions always show "Declined" , however on the Android Pay app itself, i changed to DBS Altitude Visa as default card, and the payment go through immediately.

Steps -
1) Restarted the phone - Not working
2) Removed the card and adding in again - Not working

Anyone got this card + Android pay , can see if you could make payment?
