Obligation of car rental

Cant seems to find any related thread. Does anyone know if say i rent a car from rental company but i allow another party to drive? Insurance issue?

if u can add another driver name for free or add a few $, no issue, anything happen insurance can cover.

but if only 1 driver name, by rite cannot. if anything happen, very very mafan.

Yes and No - depend which and what insurance quote for the company to rental car. By right, clear instruction shld be given to you when and b4 you sign the rental contract. If not said - you are signing blank cheque lor. Some insurance are more concern of driver's age and legibility. Wat sort of legibility - have to ask the rental company lor.

Yup had decided to be honest amd paid $50 extra for additional driver. Thanks for help

Better don't. Car rental companies got more ways to screw you deep deep should there be any accidents

Its true thou for any incident - all go by the contract you signed upon when agree to rent the car. User can play gangster or scold or shout, rental company just need to call police will do. My fren so used to call them until the officer most commonly attend his case become lunch buddy.

Most vendors allow adding additional driver, per person basis. Better to register in case of any accidents to ensure the insurance covers, if not may incur a huge costs.

Do check out www.automo.asia if you're looking for any car rentals, vendors across Singapore and most allow you to add additional driver at around $20 per person.

Add 1 more driver normally is free from my experience, max total 2 drivers only. Going Malaysia add $20 per date.
