Bought some UOB yesterday so that I have all 3 local banks.
got too greedy yesterday. 1k ocbc and 500 uob.
OCBC falling, enter another batch. No knife please.
maybe someone found out tomorrow results will disappoint?
UOB? because people only care about dividends and UOB increased dividends from last year 70c to this year $1(inclusive of 20c special)
Inclusive of the special dividend, this represents a 49% payout ratio.
OCBC only increase 1c from last year 36c to this year 37c. Dividends payout ratio drop to 37% from last year high of 43%.
Not sure why OCBC is keeping more earnings.
Still can't beat DBS who wants to pay $1.20 per annum in the future which amounts to 4.5% yield.
Yup, but need to calculate it's payout ratio. Not found in presentation.
OCBC results seems to be the best of the 3, net profits up 19% yoy compare to the other 2 single digit.
Because it is in the future. We need to know what is the future net profit to know the future payout ratio. It could be a hint that net profits will rise gao gao in the future?
