Hi Alo, I had been to Tai O for more then 6 times for the passt years to tase the famous Tai O Beancurd made by the Famous Ah Po Beancurd.
Tai O famous Salted Fish if you like to cook! And also Tai O Famous Dried Fish Belly, to make the Cantonese fish belly soup.

I had also tried the Tai O Tan Chai cook by charcoal, Dried Cuttlefish & Fish Belly BBQ Style.

I had been to Tai O a few times by Taxi & Bus.

Taxi cost you around HK$200+ to Tai O as is Super Fast Ride like sitting on a Blue Takumi Subaru Inital D Car...

Bus is a bumpy ride where set you to around HK$20 on your Octpous Card.ip around 45mins or more... But you will notice to pass by some nice view and prison along the way...

Bus hunmber 11 if i am not wrong. Please kindly confirm at the Tung Chung MTR Station Master if you want or the bus driver if you speak some cantonese or mandrain.

I am thinking of a safe choice, go via airport express to kowloon, then go dickson ware house before taking a cab to the hotel...

Also considering to take a free shuttle to jodan road then take cab or mtr up to prince edward..

Is it feasible?

Btew, i would like to know where is the lai chi kok industrial building, castle peak road?

Is it near the lai chi kok road/

cheers.
Bus no. 15 go all the way up to the peak (took ard 45min-1hr)

The building is very near the MTR station. If i'm not wrong, you go out from Exit A, then turn right n walk to Castle Peak Rd. Then turn right n walk straight n u will c the industrial building on ur right.

Anyway, u can search the directory at the MTR station. There are boards indicating all the places at different Exit. I think the address of the industrial building is 491 Castle Peak rd. U can see at the map located in the MTR station :s7:

The bus takes the scenic route up to the peak. I would suggest taking the bus either up or down. It can be hair raising at time. The bus drivers can drive fairly quickly because of their familiarity with the roads. It's overlooked by many visitors. This is the better option during peak hours and especially on weekends when the tram terminal is overflowing.

It takes a long time during peak hours (in the later afternoon) and on weekends. During this time take 15 up to the peak and take the tram down.

the que is awesome, but at the tram station itself there's an express lane which has not much pple one, you just need to get the tram tix + the wax museum together and you can jump the que. :D

Anyone knows how's the weather like during early June? (around 8-11 Jun)

Will HK be experiencing any thunderstorms/typhoon warnings during this period?

Hello guys. I am planning to go Hong kong mid june, maybe around 13th onwards for 8D7N. Would I be in time for any sales/promotions? Are the cheap deals only available during the shopping festival in july and august 2007? also, I plan to squeeze in a day for shen zhen and macau, (commuting there and coming back to HK tst hostel by night). That leaves about 5-6 days for sightseeing, shopping and exploring hongkong solely. Can advise on such a schedule? I would, as much as possible, like to view hongkong from the point of a local, ie go to local hang outs, and observe how daily and nightly hongkong bustle and hustle is like, rather than all the commercialise attractions...
