Yes, that's right. If your payment records with them is good, I think should not be that difficult to get approval. Just go to the branch for instant issuance.

that's a gd idea, i will give it a try. :)

Another ques, how does premiermiles compare to Amex KF cos' it now has the 50%+50% promo?

For Citi Premiermiles (PM), every $1 spent earns 1.2miles
For Amex KF Gold, every $1.60 earns 1 KFM => $1 spent earns 0.625KFM.
If one meets the 50%+50% promo requirement, every $1 spent earns 1.25KFM
However both card have different ratio at different spending range.

Spending < $12K, use Citi PM = $1 spent earns 1.2miles.

Spending $12K~$25.6K(correct me if i am wrong), use Amex KF Gold = $1 spent earns 1.25KFM.

Spending $25.6K~$49.999K, first $25.6K use Amex KF Gold, subsequent amount use Citi PM if you cannot reach $50K.

Spending = $50.001K, use Citi PM = $1 spent earns 1.4miles or 1.6miles (if you paid the $180 annual fee)

Spending >$50K, first $50K use Citi PM, subsequent amount use Amex KF Gold if you can another S$25.6K, else use Citi PM..

T&C applies....

In that case DBS Altitude Card maybe a better choice. I just received a mailer. $1 = 1.2miles. Each month spend >$1K, amount above $1K will get $1 = 1.6miles.

It has never crossed my mind to have credit card points converting it to miles as I fly often. But this fourm changed my mind. Cheers.

Thinking of charging everything into Citi PM, but my monthly expenses are only barely close to 1k.
compare to cash rebates like citi divi and uob one. which give better benefits? is the air ticket reedem worth more then the cash rebates you are getting?

1k per month x 1.2 = 14400pm/year. Will need to clock 3 years to go to a nearby trip.

14400pm worth how much?

if i use uob one can get back $320 every year.

For krisflyer, you need only 12,750miles to have a SQ ticket to Bali.

Depending on how you define a nearby trip. Southeast asia or Asia? Or even to Oz or NZ?
For e.g. Thailand, you will need 21,250 KFM (after less 15% for online redemption for 2-way).
Based on your conversion of 14,400 PM/KFM versus $320 rebate yearly,
1 PM/KFM = 2.2222cents
So for 21,250 miles, it equates to $472.
21,250 miles is excluding misc tax.

It depends very much on individual.
For, me, i will try to secure a budget tic on offer to Thailand which will cost me less $100 and spend the balace from the $472 accomodation and dinning, sightseeing and shopping.
Yes, no doubt it is budget but i can see throught the 2hrs+ in view of the $300~400 saving. :s22:

you will get it on anything that you spent? That's more than 3% rebate. Which card is that? Can share? Thanks

it;s the UOB ONE CARD,

ya anythings that you spend,

you must clock the spending of $300 per month for 3 months = $900 to get $30 rebates that 3.33%. or $800 per month for 3 months = $2400 to get $80 rebates.

(think for every month you must have minimum 3 transaction to qualify)--> anyone can confirm this?

Hi there,
  • You need not fly SQ. It is possible to get a round-trip ticket from SG to NRT (Tokyo Narita Airport) at 20,000 miles from other airlines.
  • Do note that for Citi PM Card, every year they will credit 10,000Citimiles to your account if you pay their $180 annual fee. If you decide to waive the fee, they will take back their 10,000miles too. Thus, if you pay the fee for 2 years, you actually can get a round-trip ticket to Japan for $360 :)
Just another way to look at things ;)
