Any cheaper and boards?

The ones up are enthusiast class ones i.e 990FX chipset so in general you'd have to look at 970/980G lor :D Even so i think the ECS 990FX would be priced great locally hehe

any hope of seeing a Llano notebook/netbook on sale at the PC show next month?

Or even the next one in September?

Should be able to c AMD llano notebook at pc show next month
provided that distro here are not sloppy in bringing new AMD
products.

There's already leak info about HP DV6 based on AMD llano
so should be able to c it next month.
Best to wait till September than u will c more of AMD Llano notebooks.

FYI AMD llano is for notebooks not for netbook, it will be a killer
netbook if OEM is able to squeeze the lower end
model E2-3000M (Dual core + HD6380) into a 12 inch netbook. :s13:

Possible but cooling for the chip may pose a problem as the wattage
is at 35 watt.

Hmmm... I don't think that Llano can fight against quad-core Sandy Bridges like i7-2630QM right? Considering that it handily trounces my Phenom II 955 :s22::s22::s22:

Llano is good but doesnt mean it will take off.

Still need to see how notebook maker pushing the product but most importantly i feel is the mindset of the buyer.

Honestly the mass market really don't know how to choose notebooks like us. Last IT Show Arrandale notebooks were still flying off the shelves. I found it quite funny, since there were similarly specced Sandy Bridge laptops priced similarly to the Arrandale ones. Consumer ignorance FTW.

AMD has mention that AMD Llano cannot match Intel i7-2630
cpu speed but will compensate that with a powerful integraded graphics.
AMD Llano cpu speed is on par with Intel i3 according to previous
leaked info.

Other than mass market don't know much IT but also
brand preferences.
Most people in SG will still prefer Intel mobile over AMD.

Most laptop/desktop (Other than DIY) in SG carries a blue sticker.
Very seldom u will c red sticker out there. :s13:

AMD-A series may have a hard time here and pricing of
AMD-A is also a issue.
Now Intel i3 laptop goes as low as $800 so how AMD notebook
is going to be price?

Up to $599 - AMD Brazos platform
Up to $800 - Intel i3
Up to $1000 - Intel i5
Up to $1.3 - Intel i7

So how's AMD pricing going to be like?
There's also SKU for AMD-A crossfire notebooks, will these
SKU be price above i7 or below?

Only next week than we will find out. :)

I remember when the original Core CPU (Banias) came out, it was such a revolution. Great performance at low power consumption. Of course the mass market didn't know that. That year my friends and I were entering Poly, so we had to get a laptop. All my friends were like "Arrggg what is this Centrino thing? The Ghz so low and I never heard before, I rather go for the Pentium which I know to be good and Ghz a lot a lot"

Result being that I got a Centrino which is awesome and they all got Mobile Pentium 4s which were slower and hotter and lesser battery life. :s13::s13::s13:

Wah so gian for E3 and Computex! If got full benchmarks come out I happy already.

i don' think my board will support BD

Asrock, Gigabyte, Biostar = buy 900 series or updated 800 series paired with black AM3+ socket

only Asus/MSI so far 800 series + BIOS update good to go on some models :D

Exclusive: ASRock's A75M-ITX pictured
http://vr-zone.com/articles/exclusive-asrock-s-a75m-itx-pictured/12409.html
We expected someone to launch a mini-ITX board based on AMD's new A75 chipset for the FM1 socket and now we can offer you some exclusive pictures of what is the first mini-ITX board for the new platform, the ASRock A75M-ITX. We expect to be seeing a lot more mini-ITX boards based on the platform next week at Computex, so keep your eyes peeled.

The A75M-ITX is a rather basic board, but by no means featureless.

This looks good. And knowing Asrock, i presume it will be quite affordable as well.:D

Should be, add AMD Llano E2-xxxx (Around US$70) u get
a decent ITX build.
Btw this mobo HDMI 1.4a does support 3D.
I don't think Intel ITX using Intel HD can support 3D
unless u add a seperate card.

i thought bulldozer launching first?

What I heard was that Llano is launching first, and Bulldozer a few days after that.

Of course given the current state of information nobody but AMD knows what's really going on anymore :s8::s8::s8:
