Hi guys,

I'm planning to use dual monitor in the future (Probably 24' and current 22'), but will only be using 1 when gaming. (it's more for surfing net while watching a full screen movie, or when development can have more screen space, etc).

For games, I mainly play RTS and turn-based strat (Civ 5, Dota2, Total War, etc). Hope to run these at decently high settings.

How much ram should the card have?

The highest end (7970 and 680) is kinda out of my range. Something around ~$300 would be perfect.

Thx in advance! :)

7850 for you?

Sapphire 7850 2GB $339
Sapphire 7850 OC 2GB $359

Go for the OC if possible. OC is 920MHz at stock clock speed and can OC to 1050MHz. If on budget, go for the non-OC one. Stock speed at reduced 860MHz, but can still OC to 1050MHz.

If choosing between nvidia or ati cards of this low $300 price range, ati 7850 cards triumph nvidia 560ti cards due to much lower temps, lower power comsumption and running PCIe3.0. And within the whole range of 7850 cards, Sapphire 7850 stands out the most value-for-money.

Hope this helps.:)

Should I SLI or buy a new 1?

Hi All,

My Existing GPU is MSI GTX560 TI. Now I'm planning to upgrade but currently have this dilemma. Should I just buy another MSI GTX560 TI or buy a better graphics card?

Whats your recommendation?

Thanks,
Mark

I believe that it has been solved with AMD Catalyst Center upgrade to version 12.4 on 25/04/12. Anyway, the problems and issues related to the 7850 are more for enthusiasts not normal user, which means u will spot the graphic issues if u take still shots and start to compare pictures. It should not affect normal gameplay.

I believed u read the article below:

This problem addressed in the article posted below:

My opinion is to consider how much your willing to pay for an upgrade. Are you running games on multiple monitors by any chance? I personally think you should just go for SLI. You could save a lot of money buy choosing to buy another 560 as they cost around 200-300 sing whilst the 680 costs 800+. Plus, 2 560s can easily run any game at max settings.

Hi,
can i get some advise on these 2 GPU?
Palit GTX 560Ti 448 cores 1.2GB @ $399
MSI HD 7850 2GB Twin Frozr OC @ $379

How does the performances differ? Which one is more worth for money?

If MSI HD 7850 is available at Sim Lim Sq, should i get it instead of Palit GTX 560Ti?

Thanks

Does ur psu have enough juice to sli 2 560ti? Does ur case has good airflow management to handle those extra heat from 2nd 560ti?

It is much better to get an oc gtx 670 cost only $569 which cream 560ti sli setup and just sell off ur 560ti. Less heat, less noise, and no sli issues.

Upgrade for ati radeon X550 :s11:

my processor is dual core E5300 2.6ghz
2gb ram
230w real power with max 450w (magnum 250 psu)
graphic card length cant be increased but width can be due to limited casing size.

Looking to play games such as dota 2, counterstrike, team fortress 2. (not really high end cards).

And suggestions?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
