You mean you wan to flash WWE over TW?

Yes you can.. why not?

But i think you need to flash twice.
The first time to re-partition .

The second time for the real flash

Android Version

Newbie to Android here.

Quick question. My PadFone android version is 4.0.4

I believe it's not the latest. Could someone advise me on the steps to update to the latest version?

Many thanx.

U can apply the TW firmware instead of waiting for the star hub one.

Anyone facing issues with the tablet buttons not working after flashing the TW firmware? It's quite bad. The buttons simply don't work anymore

No issue with the tablet, but I can't get my phone to output video signals via MHL though... Not sure if the fault lies in the MHL adapter or my phone...

yeah padfone 2.

i tot 4.1.1 oredi rolled out...

It is rolled out for TW, HK, WWE, RU..
Left Starhub ( singapore) firmware not rolled out yet.

The information provided earlier was not accurate.
You can flash original jelly bean firmware from Asus without root.

ASUS - Mobile- ASUS PadFone 2

Of cos for now you have to flash other country's firmware.

Personally i am on TW 10.4.7.10.

TW firmware always get the latest and fastest updates.

A word of caution though, once you flash other firmwares, you will not be able to get OTA updates, but you can update it manually.

A few pages back i posted a step by step guide.

For change of SKU to TW firmware, you might need to flash twice.

first time for re-partition. ( still on old firmware)
Second time for the replacement of /system files ( actual flash )

yes but i would prefer it to be in the taskbar on top instead of a vague battery icon. haha. Thanks anyway. :)

Unfortunately the only way is either custom ROMs or third party App.
CyanogenMod 10 has this functionality built in.
Otherwise, you can use an App called Battery Widget. A quiet app that sits in the taskbar showing the battery level. Unfortunately it is only able to report the phone battery level and not the PadStation.

What if I were to flash back Starhub after flashing tw firmware? Will I still be able to do ota update?

Have not tried yet since no OTA available to try.

But in theory it should be able to get OTA update.

And another thing i heard is that you cannot downgrade android version due to bootloader upgrade.

From ICS to JB, the bootloader is upgraded.

So after that you cannot flash back to ICS.

So if you are on TW JB alr and you want starhub firmware, have to wait for Starhub JB then flash over.

sorry can explain how and 're-partition. (Still on old firmware) :o

the re-partition is done during the flashing of the zip file. For TW firmware, there is a Garmin map partition, so the first time it will do a re-partition and after that it will say that the update "failed".

The re-partition is alr done.

However, the zip file is not really flashed yet, the starting partition scripts are flashed only.

To confirm this, factory reset and reboot the phone. Then check about phone> android version or firmware version has not changed yet.

Hence why i say it is still on the old firmware.

So you have to flash a second time for the flashing over of the /system files.
Then you are on the new firmware after that.

I believe this is only for TW firmware as it is the only firmware that has re-partitioning.

WWE should be done in 1 flash
