Same thing happened for my copy of office 2010. Found some secret link leaked by a friend and got it for $10. It was long ago though.

the developer will get into trouble though. my best guess is that their test systems are not connected to the live network.. hence they have no way to test the actual payment system. that's why you see it's 5 bucks.. they are testing using real credit cards and paypal accounts to make sure that the money really went through. well.. they will be surprised when they come back on Monday to see many 5 bucks transactions in their log.

most probably a developer is testing the purchase system and the link accidentally got leaked or crawled. the product is not even released to the market.. it's only slated for release in the q1 2013.

What if this is the case and they decide to take back all the keys?
