Actually my regular budget also 100 and under.. but i promised something better for Sydney

Now i hunting for cheap hotels in melbourne <130. Any recommendations? Need free parking or cheap in out parking if possible

i think in my opinion, hotels in sydney kinda old ....
their lift you can see is like those 70s type of lift ....
their bath tub is very low in height ...
however, the place is very relaxing, people walking taking their own sweet time haha ....

That scene is more common in Perth imho. Sydney is a city and people walk pretty fast there.

I see. Maybe I'm just a slow walker. I have only taken the bus in Perth once and it was slow. I usually drive or my friend will drive me around :o

No other nationalities can walk faster thab gan cheong singaporeans and our fts

You need to go to NY then. :s13: Even in Sydney, people were walking faster than us. :s13:

haha serious? I tot singaporean kan cheong spider all damn fast already.

Actually I agree with swatchie.
Often find myself blocked when trying to walk briskly in Singapore. People tend to walk (slowly) all over the sidewalk ;) Too often 'jam-brake' here... bad for the knees!

But in Australia in general, everyone seems to be walking to get somewhere, and they keep to the sides when walking slowly. Sometimes I find the people in front of me walking even faster than me, despite me being in a hurry to get to my destination.

Sydney also has quite a lot of modern and ultra modern hotels.
But the prices are high.
Situation quite similar to Singapore. If you want <S$150/night, what are your choices in Singapore? Certainly not MBS, Fairmont, Ritz Carlton, etc. Not even Ibis at Bencoolen St!

haha depends on ur date. I managed to book village hotel 4 stars at 115 for dec ... I have seen pan pac orchard premier room 178, carlton city hotel deluxe room 198 ... park royal 150 lol ...

Depends on their supply and demand, you can book 4-5 stars hotel at below 200 price.

Is the shops in sydney generally close very early compared to Singapore?

yup, went in oct, their 6pm singapore time is like 10+pm haha
their 7am singapore time is like 11am haha ...
once u reach singapore time 4pm, the sky basically starts to become like 7+pm kinda dark ...

3 days rental for $214?
That's kinda high, but explained by short rental period and also quite good insurance coverage. Additionally you have airport transfer.
All in all, OK I suppose.
