Keppel T&T announced that they have lodged a preliminary prospectus, but I just can't find it on Opera, both the new site and old site. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

And yes, I know it's a bit early to fuss over this :)

This REIT is a very interesting proxy to the growing market of "clouds" aka data centres.

I will likely get some of this.

Caveat emptor.

I also have difficulties trying to find their prelim prospectus. What's the point of publishing the prospectus if no one can get their hand on it. Mas need to do some serious work on their opera system, it's not user friendly. I hope they'll finally get their act together & do something about it.

I'm another "Bedokian" who's also eyeing this REIT. The only question to me, is whether to wait till the middle of next year to see if interest rates rise (and whether REITs are affected by this) before buying.

Anyone know what is the final price for this IPO? It's supposed to be decided yesterday, but until now, no news about it. Don't tell me this IPO is going to get shelved due to the problems they having with SGX?

I read that it is from 0.90 to 0.93...extremely narrow so not hard to know if you want to buy.

Another fellow Bedokian, good day to you!

Regarding the impact of interest rates on REITs, some say there will be while others say there is not much. The main gyst is due to the cost of borrowing to fund asset acquisition (aka gearing), but there are more than one way to secure loans without going through the usual bank rates, like rights (existing share holders may not like this), bonds, credit swaps, etc.

I will still keep some REITs in my portfolio, come what may. Caveat emptor.

SINGAPORE - The initial public offer (IPO) of Keppel DC Reit was launched on Friday.

It is Asia's first Reit with a portfolio focusing on data centres. The IPO was launched amid strong market anticipation that its eight data centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands will ride the global growth in demand for specialised facilities to host cloud computing and e-commerce services.

The Reit will be managed by Keppel DC Reit Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Telecommuncations & Transportation, which owns the data centres.

The offer opens Friday night at 9pm and closes on Dec 10 at 12pm. The offer includes 53.763 million shares for the public at 93 cents per share, along with over 207 million international placement shares. The placement shares were 24.4 times subscribed by institutional investors. Trading commences Dec 12 at 2pm.
