I think i will continue with my G3 and give G4 a miss... The bezels of G4 is thicker than G3. Length of G4 is slightly longer. Screen size same though more vivid and brighter. Back cover no longer brushed metal look. It's new look reminded me of the back of HTC Diamond. Freaking disappointed :(

Yea hope those pics arent the real thing.

What's with the increased bezels when other companies are making phones with less n less bezel.

Using the s4 now... Lost interest in the S6 or the HTC M9... Looking at the LG G4 now... So they are announcing the G4 this month? A 5.5" G4? Then there will be a G4 note plus a premium phone released in the next half of the year? So confusing...

yes announcing end of this month..

G4 "Note" wise.. It is debatable if it would be a premium model aka high end or an improvement the not well known LG G3 Stylus which was a mid range specced phone with a stylus.

Seems like details are still a bit sketchy... I hope they would release the flagship straight... The wait is painful... Staggering release of phones... Why not just release everything in one announcement... Instead of having multiple announcements / releases...

that's generally how tech releases are. In business sense technically it would be disadvantageous to show all the cards on your hand then let the opponents "see" .. Like "Hey this is my 2015 line up.. "

Normally announced during major fairs like mobile world congress etc then released to public.

Internally i believe development is done in stages.. So release times are different..

That makes sense... But to release an LG G4... Then announce a premium, let's say an LG G4 R, a few months later... That would piss off lots of customers...
But I have high hopes for the G4 this year...

I wouldn't say that it would piss my others off.

It may not be released locally or maybe only released in the Korean Markets - just like the G3 Prime or the S5 Prime - both of which are not available locally by our telcos (export yes but telcos no)

Having said that, if you were to switch from your S4 to a G4, the improvements are I would think pretty significant.

I came from a Note 2 to a G2 and I was utterly shocked by the performance of the phone. I then switched to a S4 (Snapdragon 600) and I was disappointed by the battery life and went back to the G2.

The G2 has a special place in my heart mainly - and the G3. The G2 in my opinion is a some what speedier version of the G3 owing to the 1080P screen.

The one imo that pissed pretty much many others off was the release of the Xperia series - especially the Z2 and Z3 series at 6 month intervals per flagship.

Throughout history, there have been many flag ships that have releases months after each other - last year alone ...

Samsung came out with S5 4G and then S5 4G+

Joining LG G4 camp..

Always a LG supporter with viewty/nexus 4 and nw using nexus 5..

Never use OEM android before since I switch from iPhone to nexus. Are there any crap/useless apps that slow down the phone and can they be disable/uninstall?

The G4 has a stunning screen giving the S6 a go for the money.
There are many ways to get rid of the useless apps.
Here is one way to do it:

1. Download AppMgr III from Playstore
2. Tap on the apps that you want deleted
3. There are options - you either uninstall or Force Stop
4. If you choose Force Stop, you can save the phone from
battery drainage, so your battery will last longer.

Enjoy the journey of the LG fantasy especially in the coming
G4 with its unique and stylish one up kind of design. :s22:

Thought we should uninstall right? Force Stop, battery will last longer, why is it so?

It was also a situation where I went through, but after
researching into how to make the battery last longer,
one of the thing which trigger me is my ignorance in knowing
that the more apps you have the more the use of the battery
will be. One of the suggestion is to "force stop" them so it will
not drain the battery.

After having forcestop more than twenty not so often used
apps, I find that the battery last longer. You can always
do some experiment yourself to find out whether it works
for you.

One good tip is to unintstall all apps that you seldom use
so that your phone can run faster. If the Ram is only 2 GB
then of course you have more disadvantage.

Pro 2 has 3 GB Ram. We are hoping LG will get 4GB Ram
into the next flagship Pro phone and all of us are patiently
waiting for the day to come.

Hopefully the LG Pro 3 will surface before the end of 2015
or even earlier depending on the sales of G4 which LG
hope to hit ten million sales. No laughing stock. They
have confident the phone will be the phone of the year 2015.
