Reported to SingTel on the same issue and they are simply on absolute denial even though reminded them that there is no issue with other carrier's network.

There is no way to test out the singtel proxy method under recovery mode as it does not support proxy change according to OS X: About OS X Recovery

Hi desire777,

Re your PM.

In the past few weeks, I bot 2 Mac Mini 2011. For the first one, I got the 4403f error while doing Internet recovery. In that case, I can still boot into OSX and set up proxy server. Then reboot again into recovery. That solve the problem for me.

For the second one, I removed OSX so the only solution was to make a USB OSX drive.

Guess I found my way here. I'm stuck with a 2012 MBP on Singnet fiber.
Opening ports in the 2wire router doesn't seem to help.

Gonna ask my friends if they're on M1 or at least Starhub.
Anyone managed to recover on Singtel fiber recently?

$150 is steep for a fix that's supposedly doable at home.

Sorry for the necro
