Apple watch series 3 W2 chip

Right now i have a iphone 6s ( bluetooth 4.0, no W1 or W2 chip ). How battery life will be affected if i connect a iphone 6s with a series 3 ( through bluetooth ) instead of like using a iphone 7 or iphone 8 with the w1 or w2 chip

Solved, any iphone running ios 10 with instantly connect to any w1 or w2 chip devices ( since they are compatible with bluetooth)

The W1 or W2 chip are not in the iphone itself.

The W2 chip in new for Apple Watch 3 to boost wireless performance.
Seems no mention of added battery life.

I guess online review will be more in next few days
