Ambience

The last place you have for ambience is Flutes at the Fort

U may want to consider Michaelangelos, Sistina, Original Sin and Au Petit Salut. All of them are at Jalan Merah Saga.
Jaan at Swissotel Stamford.
Zambuca at Pan Pacific Hotel.
Garibaldi at Purvis Street.
Senso at Club Street
Desire at Scarlett Hotel
Shiro at Greenwood Ave
St Julien at Fullerton Boathouse
San Marco at Fullerton Lighthouse
St Pierre at Central Mall

If you find that Ember has good enough ambience, then you can also consider
Sage at Robertson Walk.
Wild Rocket at Hangout Hotel

Secret Garden is a pleasant place, but I really don't think much of the food at all.

Steak
Consider Hooha Cafe and Angus House at Ngee Ann City?

Your estimate for Morton's is limited. It can easily be 100-200 per pax so you might wanna extend the range abit.

Try these couple of sites for references, photos and impressions

went to 'my humble house' at esplanade

the food is very good and ambience is quite good,

the seats i had was those high high chair seats, ie the chair is as tall as you.
my humble house is run by tong le.

did not manage to get the window seat and heard that you need to book wks ahead to get window seats. plus point of window seat is that you can view the singapore river/across the esplanade

price-wise is not that cheap, ard 60++ to 100++ per pax but the food is very nice.
it's actually more suitable for gathering rather than a couple meal

look at the money you haf to pay each time you eat at such a nice place with great food! u dun wan to be paying that sort of money all the time if you haf the intention to have nice buffets for 10 times for the next one year rite?

join the Buffetclub and enjoy great savings plus the prestige you gain as a unique club member which represent 14 top Hotel and their restaurants for your dining pleasure. You not only save when going for romantic dinner for 2 but also when you go in grps for a great get together... great time for a great price. how does that sound.

It's just $298 for a full year.

As a credit to our members we allow them to have a choice to take a 4days 3night holiday at a few destination options we present to places like Phuket, Penang, KL, Bangkok and Markota! Complimentary.

I am a consultant there, so should you need any assistance on this just send me an sms or call me at 91791209.

Cheers~
Jimmy.

excuse me? what i am doing here is just sharing what's available now that Hardware zoners might find is what they need as they dine buffet often. and it's ok that they tink it doesnt suit them. there is no obligation to do anything unless they see the value, mr swatch. i am not in the place to say this is good a not too, people who had dine at the restuarants would know if they liked where they been. anyway thanks for the interest. perhaps you can satisfy your curiosity by going to the website to have a look? who knows it ll look gd to you.

I have seen the website. I considered getting the card about a year back but was put off by the list of restaurants. You claim to be sharing whats available, but I don't see the relevance of your post as it only serves to highlight your vested interest. You earn a commission for everyone who signs up. Not advertising?

if you are sharing why not create a single thread for it?
instead of spamming so many threads? not advertising?

i was thinking of that too thanks for the suggestion. if wad i was doing was advertising, many people here are advertising too? should you make know to them that they are advertising for so many products, brands, restaurants they been to or tried too when they say how good or lousy they are? if you are against advertising let's see if you would not 'advertise' here? please do not judge onto something u do it yourself.

Your post has a major flaw in it. First of all, people post reviews of certain restaurants, be it good or bad, to share. We assume most of them are not for commercial agendas. In your case, it is a blatent breach of that assumption. If you insist on incoporating such personal reviews under the word advertising, then I shall rest my case. :)

rave84 aka jimmywell, i suppose to get a rough idea of rave84's intentions, ie whether rave84 is advertising or whether he is sharing his information is to look at what he has posted previously... its not too long a list:

hi like to recommend breeze at scarlet hotel.

Recently went there to celebrate birthday. The experience was great!

When i went there, the staff immediately know my name! Although i have made a reservation beforehand, but it is still a surprise that he know me instantly...haha.

The service is excellent. The staff immediately help me takeover my birthday cake and tell me that he will take care of everything later.

The food is excellent man. Oyster was great and the beef was tender. Really the best restaurant i have ever went to. The staffs are all polite and great and take the initiative to help us take photos without us requesting!

the ambience was great too!

Definitely must try for everyone!

Hi are you refering to black angus @ orchard parade? Yap,Its nice, the food is as delicious as the outlet in one fullerton. but it get rather crowded with alot of ang mos..so rmb to call for reservation if you'r planning to go down.
A pity that the outlet at one fullerton is closed,i prefer the view at the restaurant.
(My guess: due to the new and upcoming resorts & entertainment, the RENT @ one fullerton Sore high Up,so they no longer can continue the b'nez there..Hee~)

Oh,as for bday specials, they used to gather all the staff and sing a Birthday song at your table...and its a special compose birthday song, not the typical-happy birthday to youx2.. Not sure does they still practise this service...

I'm finding place for friend's birthday. A simple cafe or restaurant
Calm bright ambience, quiet environment. Don't need to be "high class".

Budget around $20. Thanks
