Info from movies.yahoo.com:
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, who played ill-starred lovers in the 1997 smash "Titanic," are reuniting for a drama about post-war disillusionment, Hollywood trade paper Daily Variety reported on Friday.
"Revolutionary Road" will be directed by Winslet's husband, British filmmaker Sam Mendes, who won an Oscar for "American Beauty."
The DreamWorks project is based on the 1961 novel by Richard Yates, Daily Variety said. It revolves around a suburban 1950s couple tragically caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform.
DiCaprio and Winslet were both nominated for Oscars this year, for "Blood Diamond" and "Little Children" respectively. In "Titanic," Winslet played a society woman consumed with forbidden love for a working-class kid played by DiCaprio.
DreamWorks is a unit of Viacom Inc.'s Paramount Pictures.

Back to the topic: Titanic is so-so because it didn't move me to tears at all.
I don't think it is popular now! Otherwise many people would comment here.

Can you check it out yourself because there's plenty in internet as jerry007? Wait and see if jerry007 contradicts himself....he preaches to me to source out for info on my own...then why he starts threads like that if there are many plenty of reviews outside on internet. Makes no sense! No need to ask jerry007. Does it mean you ask for attention, huh?
Bearded Oiran, pls post in my threads, i need to ask you questions about methods of voting for japan movies as u said? Thks!

I also joke a bit about alien umbrellas in other thread, yet jerry007 accused me for attention, makes no sense. Some people ask jerry007 when are DVD for certain movies such as Slam Dunk released? Does it mean they ask for attention, eh? Makes no sense.
If jerry007 said there's plenty of reviews in internet, why he posted the reviews here yet he accused me for attention.

I don't dislike it but I would not say I like it either. :)
On topic - I did enjoy "American Beauty." so I hope "Revolutionary Road" would be just as good.

Someone just promised someone not to post irrelevant comments and to stick to the theme of the thread. Yet SPIELBERG STRIKES AGAIN! Human beings learn but IT never learns! *Roll Eyes*
Any literate human beings would know that the topic here is not even Titanic.
Any human beings with a bit of dignity and pride would leave the forum after being bombarded by so many. Yet IT stays on and continues to blasts us with stupidity. Doomsday is near!
As for ur above questions, I'm out of patience to explain them to u coz it will take a LONNNNNNNNNG time for u to understand, given the kind of intelligence u have.

As for me, I don't either like or dislike Titanic. I would say I was not moved to tears. My cousin shared my sentiments, too. :)

Others also post irrelevant comments in other threads as well. I never say I PROMISED not to post irrelevant comments at all. I feel it is unreasonable of you to complain that i post irrelevant comments when some others also post this way. I talked about the reviews that Bearded Oiran asked for so i talked to him in an address about what jerry007 said.
Besides, I said I post NECESSARY, it doesn't mean it is not related to this topic. I need to voice out why this and that like reviews and irrelevant comments etc so on. It's necessary! That's what i meant!
U can't change me, a stupid person into intelligent person overnight, u strange.
Edited: U said you are kinda sad for me when you said you have no patience to explain to me....with my intelligence. :s8:

This is irrelevant and uncalled for spielberg. Kindly refrain from making such unnecessary posts. If these clutter were reduced through the effort of everyone, it would make the jobs of the moderators more easy.

Yes, I agree that mentally subnormal people should be kept far from a keyboard and an internet connectionI understand that there is unfavorable sentiments going around, but it would help for everyone to do their part and stick to the topic that the thread is about. Let's just ignore if it's irrelevant.

With tongue in cheek, I thought this Sam Mendes movie offered audiences a peek into how Jack Dawson and Rose's lives would have been, should they live through that night to remember together, and settle down in the USA. The free-spirited Dawson would find his life now quite the bore as compared to his free-wheeling days of a drifter, now rooted to a nine to five job he doesn't believe in, and lives his life like a robot only to pay the bills. As for Rose, she being stuck at home as a housewife also doesn't seem like the life she thought she signed on for, with the realities of matrimony settling in to demolish notions of a once daring romance.

Titanic the movie ws ok, but the movie focused too much on that lover couple which made the whole fiasco seem unrealistic.
Watched this show right after Okuribito on the plane. Perhaps I should not have, because I couldn't take my mind off the Japanese masterpiece.
Leo and Kate Winslet act their hearts out, trying hard to lend gravitas to the film, but to me the fact remains that Revolutionary Road is a very simple, straightforward story about a couple with different ideals battling suburbia boredom and marital fatigue by committing adultery and entertaining whimsical ideas. The film wears its intention on its sleeves by staging endless heated bickering between the two charming stars. The exchanges sure raise a lot of questions for us to mull over, but sadly the film doesn't bring anything revolutionary to the genre by giving us a lazy, all-too-expected resolution - Audiences who are stuck in a similar marital quagmire and looking for an answer from this show would not be too pleased by it.
3.5/5 for the great acting especially Leo's. He's still amazingly handsome after so many years.
