I have been to UK and amsterdam early this year. From UK, you can either take train or budget airline called EasyJet which i paid 50 dollars sterling pound for both ways. Well, Amsterdam is really a nice place to visit. Clean and nice scenery. :)

Suppose it depends which airlines you want to take. Sometimes airlines like KLM allow you to include the extra leg in Europe at the same price. Try searching for this way...
Fly SIN->AMS->LON
London to Paris by train
Fly CDG->AMS->SIN
You can save lots of time and $$ doing this way. ie. flying direct to London first (transit in Amsterdam), stay a few days in London, take a train to Paris and stay a few days there. Take KLM back to Amsterdam and stay a few days there before coming back to Singapore.
If you are 1st timers to all these 3 countries. I would suggest spend about equal time in each place... plenty to see in each place. Meantime, happy googling... part of the fun going for a trip is the preparation with help from Internet. Same hotel can have many different prices on different websites, the trick is to find out which one have the cheapest rates and best location.
Always easier to book a package tour and go for a trip if you don't have the time. But I can tell you your most memorable trip will be the one which was plan by yourself.

First of all, i would like to thank boycute and flagship for your recommendation on Easyjet, which i had already booked one way flight from Paris CDG to London Luton Airport.
And also want to thank n2btg for your helpful advice.
fyi, i am staff of an Airline and entitle a FOC air ticket every year for me and my wife, however for a junior staff like me ,this FO air ticket are subject to availability on particular flight, it mean if the flight i wanted to get on board was full, then i will not have the seat to go to where i want to go.
so initially i planned to go Amsterdam because few of my colleauges been there and also because i thought the flight itself will not as full as if i am go directly to Paris.
After i check the Passenger loading for the Paris flight was quite optimistic, so i decided to skip Amsterdam and go directly to Paris and then take Easyjet to London.
One interesting matter is that it will only take 15 min flight from Paris to London...LoL..
last but not least, i stil hope people who have thir own interesting experiences willing to share theirs here, and when i get back from paris and London trip..i will certainly share my experinces here.....
Once again, thanks for all your sharing and contributions !!

Hi there, I'm doing my eurotrip now coz doing student exchange in Milan, italy. Yes Amsterdam is the nicest city in Europe, not to be missed, the drugs and the clean streets and the beautiful canals,
with regards to your interesting matter, London is 1 hour slower than Paris, so actually the flight will take you 1 Hr 15 Mins, so please check time difference when ya there, don't miss flight!
Cheers,
Greetings from Milan.

Oh, by the way, if you can avoid Heathrow, please do. It's quite ****ty now with all the security crap and delays are inevitable.
And for amsterdam, you might want to buy the Museumkaart. It allows entry to many fine museums in Amsterdam at a low cost of 30eur. It's a one year pass. It maybe better for you to use I Amsterdam pass though, but you'll have to judge for yourself. The Museumkaart website is only available in dutch so you'll have to do a bit of guessing.
I visited this Open Air Museum (or Openluchtmuseum) in Arnhem, about 75min from Amsterdam. It was a really nice experience because they showcase how the dutch people live in the past. The souvenirs there are really cheap too. The only expensive part is the train ride which costs 24eur return. But you might want to try to cheat by buying one-way cos I don't think they check for the Arnhem --> Amsterdam Centraal leg.
The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are worth visiting. Anne Frank's House is just so-so i think. Not really worth 7.50 eur.

For anyone who're into the contemporary design scene in the 3 cities, you must visit:
Amsterdam - Stedelijk Museum (http://www.stedelijk.nl/)
Paris - Centre Pompidou (http://www.centrepompidou.fr/)
London - Tate Modern (http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/)
Heathrow is okay when i was there. Everything went well. Just be caution that if you're gonna take their normal metro from the airport/to the airport, it might have jam or breakdown. I encounter twice when i was there for 4 days. The piccadilly line (blue) was quite unstable for me.
