Where can i find cheap hotel in Hongkong

I m a polytechnic student, where can i find cheap hotel in Hongkong and can i use my student pass to ask for a discount? :s12:

I stayed at Li's Hostel - Block A, 3rd floor of Chunking Mansions the last time i was there. think if i remember correctly, paid slightly less than SGD50/night for a twin-share w ensuite. very very basic..with no windows.

no such things as use student pass for discount. Can try dragon hostel located in Mongkok too.They offer quite cheap rooms

i'm not too fussy when it comes to a place to stay. Li's hostel is fine....but i must tell you that the whole of chungking mansion is big fire hazard what's with the narrow (or sometimes blocked) walkways/exits, dimly lit & very rundown corridors & stairways.

not to frighten you or anything...but when i was there, a unit in our next building caught fire. Fire engines blasting their sirens tearing down the streets are a common sight. wherever you are staying..make sure you note down all the nearest emergency exits & if possible, always bring along with you a torchlight when you travel..you never know when you might need it.

wow,thanks for telling me this,i think safty is much more important,maybe i should find a hotel with stars,is there any cheap hotels with stars?

i think if you don't mind staying at slightly far-flung areas...you shld be able to get some cheaper acommodation. but if you want to stay at the core areas like TST etc then very difficult to find cheap and good hotels. HK accommodation quite ex in my opinion.
