Hi help needed. I've got a v-gear landisk pro (450gb) connected to my linksys router and running 2 systems - Mac (leopard) and Vista. I've got have 2 issues & a question:
Issue
a - file transferring files to my NAS is slow
b - unable to see my files using mac (connected via smb)
question
any firmware to patch my NAS (current firmware is NAS-BASIC48, loader 69) to support NTFS?
pointers & suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks

its only 10/100mbps so i think max throughput u get should be around 20 to 30mbps
nas usually uses linux which have file system as ext 3 or ext 2

What's the speed you are getting? I had to get a gigabit switch so that my transfer speeds won't suffer. I can get somewhere around 15MB/s or so on D-Link DNS-323 which is pretty decent, I guess.

hehe the nas he is using is only 10/100 so connecting to a gigabit switch wun help much :s34:
and dns-323 is a high performing nas :D

don't think so. cause i've map it as a network drive on my vista.

Bro,pls help me!!!
My PC(Vista) cant detect my LanDisk Pro connected using USB,but able to detect it when i switched the HD to another HDD enclosure.What's Wrong ah???
