Hi help needed. I've got a v-gear landisk pro (450gb) connected to my linksys router and running 2 systems - Mac (leopard) and Vista. I've got have 2 issues & a question:

Issue
a - file transferring files to my NAS is slow
b - unable to see my files using mac (connected via smb)

question
any firmware to patch my NAS (current firmware is NAS-BASIC48, loader 69) to support NTFS?

pointers & suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks

its only 10/100mbps so i think max throughput u get should be around 20 to 30mbps

nas usually uses linux which have file system as ext 3 or ext 2

What's the speed you are getting? I had to get a gigabit switch so that my transfer speeds won't suffer. I can get somewhere around 15MB/s or so on D-Link DNS-323 which is pretty decent, I guess.
