I also experience intermittent 'no service' with the digital voice modem. I wonder anyone having similar problem and also wireless internet disconnect frequently. Now using direct connect to monitor.
One thing I want to d=find out is the digital voice, is there any possibility the modem's faulty. according to the helpdesk in-charge, he said his engineer reported weak signal and asked me to disconnect from the splitter that connect to the TV but later never called back.....sigh service standard is poor.

Just curious, does it happens only for loading webpages? I only have this problem with loading webpages, seems it takes forever to load. When it happens, I have no problem with any other applications.

I have this problem once in a while where connection through the wireless router (I'm using Netgear) does not work at all. However, direct connection does. I also noticed that whenever I had this problem and called up Starhub, they had this announcement that "If you are having problem connecting through the router, connect directly, and contact your router manufacturer ...". It is a clear indication that many customers called them regarding this issue that very day that made them put up this announcement.
How can all the customers' routers go bad at the same time? In fact, the first time I called them about this problem, the cust. service rep acknowledged that this is a known issue and they are working on it, but after that, whenever I called them, they refused to acknowledge that the problem was on their side.
I have no issue if they have a problem and acknowledge it. We all understand that such issues happen. But what pisses me the most is when they try to pass the buck to the customer and simply disown their problem. I'm seriously considering moving to Singtel when my contract expires next month.

Do a power recycle on your cable modem and see if this fix the problem.
Do you bit torrent? If you do, it means that bt is sucking up your bandwidth.
