i think star87 make a mistake.
SQ GV4 price is at S$600 + S$274 (both ways taxes/fuel) = S$874 per person
Valid on Low season and not valid on SQ12 and A380 flights.

oh bummer. i was recalling it from memory. my bad. fuel surcharge increase ?
but even at 874 its still the best value
1) can choose a wide range of flight timings to suit u.
2) possible to get open jaw from SG to osaka and tokyo to sg(not sure if any added cost though)
3) got day flights/night flights
4) fly from t3
5) its SQ. need to say anything more :P ?

You are right.
Cheap air-ticket no use. But their taxes is extremly high.
Today (10Oct) both ways taxes/fuel for Thai Airways to Tokyo is S$676
Furthermore, it is not easy to get seat for that S$300 type of airfares. They are using the lowest economy class category.
