hi guys, I would require help on this. I am unable to view my cam from my mobile phone.
I have set the cam to mobile viewing and port forward 554, 5556, 5557, 5558 and 5559.
I am able to view the cam using a computer from a external IP. I am able to view the cam using real player as well.
I am able to view the dlink test camera on my mobile phone.
But I am unable to view the cam using my mobile phone Nokia 6280 on M1 network (postpaid).
I am using the pacific internet, and the prolink H9300G modem router.
I open the ports on the virtual server page, and the packet filter page.

Are there other ports i have to open them as well? or have I left out anything?

Thanks

You sure the above url ish correct?
AFAIK, pacnet only restricts rtsp port from being accessible outside prolly due to loophole only.

sorry the url will be shut down after office hours. What ports u suggest?

I have did a test, it seems that if i put RTSP as 554, i couldn't get any images from the external network, so hence now i have change the RTSP to 1029.

You can test the link via PC/Laptop quicktime player

if it works, phone should have no issue

I have change my phone to the N81, still I can't view the camera using mobile phone. Is it due to the M1 network? I have change to the default port 554 still the same result unable to connect.
Any idea how come I am able to view the Dlink test camera using my mobile phone yet not my own?

Told u liao ma, PacNet blocks 554 from external access.

You must type exactly the same url n port u wrote above into ur phone, then bookmark it for quick access.

Thanks guys I managed to get it working by opening the ports on my mobile phone. from port 1024 to 1029.

By the way is there a way to view the video on my hp with the computer viewing setting instead of the mobile viewing. The error it gave me is too little bandwith on my phone. Is there a way to tweak the phone to enable more data flow?

depends if ur mobile phone is a gprs phone, 3g or 3.5g phone

and even if they give u 3.5g video at let say 3.6mbps, will your home broadband upload stream able to upload that fast to your mobile phone?

another issue is.. will your phone able to handle that high video quality?

iirc a full 640 x 480 (cannot remember) pixel transmit at around 2mbps but your phone may not be able to handle 650 x 480 resolution

Hi all,

Recently I also faced problem accessing my DCS2120 via my N95 mobile phone. It used to be working fine.

- The video from DCS2120 is uploaded via Singnet Broadband.
- I am using N95 realplayer to view the Ipcam through Singtel Mobile 3G Network. Also tried unsuccessfully using N73.
- Tried with rtsp port 554 and 1029. But both don't work.
- Called Singtel Mobile, and their customer service cannot understand my problem.

Anybody can help? Is it due to Singtel Mobile?

Thanks in advance.
