They are pre-cut into many pieces, it won't hinder the removal of battery, but if you have a spare battery, then that spare batt won't be shielded, as the shield only shield 1 battery...

Yup, you are right, just tear ut the IS and send back for replacement. Usually they will send you the replacement, then you need to send back the damaged shield after you got the replacement.

Removing is just like skinning the phone, just tear it out...

I am not a handphone expert & I don't deal in your field of business. In general, I am sharing this shield thing for handphones that I found out since I PAID for those shields on my rides. Their products might be new to you, but its not to me coz I can't find them in their website until recently.

If we are talking about $10 difference, then yes, I will give the RaceSHIELD a try. But unfortunately, it's isn't the case. It's like Martin Fields screen protector, it's well known, no doubt about it, and it's selling at a premium of easily $25 a piece. If I have another cheaper but almost same quality of screen protector like MF, and I am selling at $20, would you buy it? People would still go for MF, coz it's just $5 more.

I actually told the supplier of RaceSHIELD about it, and they got my point but unfortunately, they can't adjust the pricing too much. I understand their part, and that's why I didn't bring them in.

Unfortunately they don't protect areas like the buckle area, because they are too small and the chance of them peeling off the buckle is like 90%, so really pointless to apply shield on watches, IMO...

Hi, Unfortunately, once the IS started to get stain, it's impossible to remove any stain. Think you are not the first one, I realised cases from Incipio will stain the shield over time... There's really nothing you can do except to get an exchange from Zagg...

thank you for your feedback, but as you know, this kind of phone is kind of fashion phone, just like Samsung Armani etc. To be honest, you are the first one asking me about that shield. Furthermore, LG Prada has already launched their GEN2 Prada. It's a nice phone, but just that there's no demand, so that's why I didn't bring them in.

Ya I know... Not a problem to me, important factor about IS is not about the price, it's about whether you can DIY. If you can DIY, obviously you can buy the IS at $16 and save a big load. But what if you can't DIY, you bought the IS at $16 and screwed it up? It's definately not a one time or two to master it...

My viewty shield is for the old model, KU990 and not KU990R. ANyway, Zagg never produce shield for the KU990R, usually when customers come to apply the shield on their viewty, I will tell them that I need to cut a portion out...

He is an expert when it comes to applying invisible shield evident from the way he helped me to apply my htc touch pro invisible shield. Shield is prefect on my phone now! Also, initially i thought that he missed out some shield on my phone so i smsed him to double confirm. Instead of denying straightaway like what other dealers will do, he actually bothered to find out more about my issue and actually asked for my email to send me a picture of the shield to clear my doubt.

if I let you install, will it be peeling also after a while? Does it cover the chome area beside the screen? Bodyguardz don't cover that area. Also I read reports that invisible shield turn yellowish after a while?

I don't carry BG, but I do apply for some customers who bought it themselves elsewhere. I find BG thinner but smoother than IS. And it's a bit more difficult to apply, based on my experience. And BG is not as sticky as IS.

Peeling is very subjective, it depends on individuals and how they maintain the shield after the installation. Regular cleaning with lint-free cloth and Zippo lighter fluid will help to prlong the life of the shield.

IS covers the chrome bezel as well. And yes, it's true, the IS will turn yellowish after a while, and in fact, all shield made of the same materials will turn yellow, this applies to the BG, and the newer RaceSHIELD as well.

Went to apply the IS for my new 3GS last last Saturday. I must say the service is great and the application is flawless and professional! Coldcar went through with me the do's and don'ts after applying it and I must say the IS is hardly noticeable. It would be better to give him a call instead of posting here to find out the availability I guess.

I just went down to get Coldcar to install invisibleShield...glad that I found this thread as there are really many great reviews about coldcar...

He's really a nice guy and does a really good job with it...makes it look simple...it looks perfect, only a few small bubbles which should go away as stated by many ppl here..even if they don't its okay because its not really bothering at all..he intro a capdase screen protector for the front instead...and it looks and feels good (prevents fingerprints)...

So if you're still wondering where to get the shield or application for the shield..just go to him...satisfaction guaranteed! :D

- register at zagg
- register the IS
- once i get the replacement, send back the original one and also provide the original receipt (can i give a copy of the receipt? in case, the IS starts to peel again in a years time :P)

i am an ex-user of IS. it will discolour, and also peel off bit by bit and eventually, almost whole thg is gone, and it defeats the purpose of applying it in the first place to protect the phone !!!

dirt will also trapped on the edges and got to use needle to clear to every now and then.....all this in less than 1 year....

Peeling is very subjective, and it all depends on how use and maintain it to prolong the life. Please note that IS = InvisibleSHIELD, NOT InvicibleSHIELD. IS is there to protect your phone against scratches, it didn't promise you maintenance-free protection.

I applied shield(custom-cut) on my Nokia 6710, and it's been 5 months already, still looks like new, and stick like glue, not like what you stated, edges started to come off here and there. I do agree with you the shield will discolour or turn yellow after some time. It will be more obvious if your phone is white in colour.

Some people are just too demanding, paying $38 for a shield and expect the shield to perform wonders. Please UNDERSTAND what you pay for.

You pay $38 for a shield because:
- It can protect against scratches
- It's thin, so it won't look bulky
- It provides me with some grip
- It has a lifetime warranty

IS cannot:
- Protects against drop
- Guarantee discolouration
- Guarantee peel-free
- prevent finger-print due to the glossy finish.

So know what you are getting before you get the IS, it might not be the type of protection you want.

there's nothing perfect, no matter how and what. So there's no way to please everyone. You will think you just wasted $35 on a piece of junk, but there's also a lot who appreciate it, simply because they know why they buy the shield for, and understand the shortcomings of the shield, ie discoloration and possible peeling in future, and they felt that it's still worth the money to get it because there's nothing that can protect it against scratches and not having to protect it with a bulky case. And it's not just IS that will have this problem, any other brands that use the same material will have the same problem, and anything that sticks will also have the possible peeling, much like you buy a case to protect, there's always a possibility that the case might crack, so it all depends on the end-user.

End of the day, not trying to say IS is the best protection here, some might like it, and some simply think it's a waste of money buying the shield that don't even last a year.

To me, I know it will peel, I know it might peel after some time, but I will still install it because it's backed by a lifetime warranty, if it's peel or discolour, no problem, I just get it exchanged, much better than my phone starts to get scratches from my keys or coins, by then, it's too late... And for those who think a case can protect your phone against scratches, you are wrong, because before it starts to protect, it starts to scratch it first, I am sure a lot have encountered this problem.

Anyway, I also don't need to advertise on this IS, it's been around for some time, people who come to me for installation know what they are getting and expecting, I will also tell them what they will be expecting for the shield... Decision is still up to them.
