You're using Linux? Lol it might be hard to follow my guide if you're not exactly technically inclined.

too all the people with the Z800 modem and Linux OS... there is an easier way ...by setting the modem to work on dial up connection ...instead of the HSDPA.. THE Z800 works... the dial up number is *99**1*1# ..user name and pass word = guest and voila ... the led turns blue and u are online.... simple and straight forward ...

Nice find :). Now that the Eee PC is taking off I guess more people are finding ways to get their Z800 working :).

Samsung? More compact and doubles up as a micro-SD card reader (Windows only).

Hi Guys, May I know what is the HSDPA about?

Is it a 3G surf? and do we have to pay additional subscription charge for it?

It's mobile internet aka Broadband on Mobile (if you're a Singnet user). You have to pay subscription every month.

Hi Doody, thanks for the reply.

Does it enable notebooks to connect up at high speed anywhere in singapore, or as long as there is a reception?

Hi Doody, thanks for the reply.

yes ... it is broadband "on the go", connected via phone SIM card and a modem (provided by the telco)

juz in case you are interested, do look around for reviews of the different plans ... i would fore-warn you ... DO NOT sign up with M1 ... connection bad, speed slow

the other 2, you decide =)
