Wanted to try a different linux distribution on my EEE PC but didn't want to go through the hassle of configuring drivers just to get basic functionality working :p
Turns out that the newly-released Mandriva Linux One 2008 Spring has FULL out-of-the-box support for the EEE PC! Wireless, sound, hotkeys - all work with no configuration!
Just try and boot off the free LiveCD and see for yourself! :)

I now boot Mandriva off my 4GB SDHC card.
