Received the sample Blu-Ray slim drive from my supplier today... It's the latest in the market! The actual shipment of the slim drive's front bezel will bare the BD Logo. This sample piece I have is still using the generic one. Yes! it has dual-optics in the cartridge!

For the potential buyers who are interested in my product and are ready to place orders. Please do not hesitate to leave your contact info and HWZ id verification... Only with these informaion that I can proceed with customised shipment and orders. Orders without contact info or any forms of verification to show your sincerity in the deal, will not be entertained... I already have 2 occasions of "Aeroplane-Flying" inccident when 'Pilots' MIA and refused to ans calls or sms when their items are ready for collection. I am not reporting the bad trips to the mods n admins, but only to take certain measures to refrain 'Pilots' n 'Pigeons' in my sales thread... However so, I would still like to thank all the supporting members n non-members from my passed-dealings for the trust and understanding in my business... Thankyou All!!!

Have not started a new thread on Blu-ray Barebone PC, so going to update the pricing here 1st... The cheaper barebone has discontinued due to the shortage of this mobo. The supplier has decided to package the remaining limited stocks with Higher-specs BD drives, so as not to under-utilise it's function since it is True-HD capable... Here is the price update... S$1118.

Hi bro. Currently I'm only importing these range of case kits. It is the most versatile and stable mini-case I had tried so far. It can support mini-itx and m-ATX motherboard for Hi-spec setup. The brand of my slim drive for this package is Panasonic. Yes, it can be built within the casement. There is currently no stock for this $588sgd package. U can consider my Bluray True-HD package Perhaps? I may only bring in budget spec or Hi-spec HTPC LGA or AM2 barebone PC in the future. Thx!

Do u sell the mobo only for yor package? The board specs seem quite hi-end and also to my liking. How much is your blue ray package? Got cheaper option? I only need Core2Duo 2.0GHz atleast, 160G hardisk, 1G ram at 800mhz and a built in dvd rom. Don't really need too Hi-end like HTPC. $500 bucks can get this?

Hi bro. I do not have this HTPC mobo sold seperately. It is extremely rare and u won't be able to find it in SG... For your budget of $500sgd, it is rather impossible to get C2D system in a SFF mini-pc. Although I had sold this spec before, but still at $588sgd, and losing $$ because of mis-calculation. U wld probably settle in for Intel Atom or other low processing system like VIA n EPIA mini-itx mobo. U can try to scout some LGA775 m-ATX mobo at SLS at very low budget and get your C2D cpu. I can sell u this case-kit with the low-profile copper HSF package, as the case can house m-ATX mobo. I believe u can hit it slightly over 500 for a SFF C2D system...

The PSU + a 3200RPM CPU fan running concurrently is not noisy. More like a mordern day Home-Theatre projector. I do not have equipment to measure the db(decibels) for it's output level, but it's producing noise-level is equivalent to any regular PC. It's not silent, but quite... The system I tried with many different mobo on the same CPU have different readings on temperature.

The HTPC mobo in my barebone using the 1U HSF with E7200indicates average 39d/celcius at ROOM Temperature(30degree) for 2cores at idle, and 45Degree when loaded with Hi-Def content for 2hrs. When air-con is switched on at 24dgree in the room, It measures 34dgree at idle, and 39degree when loaded with Hi-def movies for 2hrs. The 1U HSF is always 4degree cooler than the Intel stock HSF in my tests. Using CoreTemp 0.99.3 for all tests (Don't trust bios thermal readings. It's never accurate)... Collection of the case-kit at Simei MRT from my brother. I'm still at PRC.

Hi Quarx,
the size of your casing and the capability to house the lga core2duo and slim dvd rom is something i looking for. but if i get only the casing from you, that means i must setup myself. really no time for dat. I hope you can still bring back the $588 package. How much is your 1u hsf?

Hi bro. I have already stopped this $588sgd package due to many reasons. One of it being the deppreciation of our SG currency and the shortage of this mobo from my supplier's side... I have now on-going shipment for True-HD with Bluray drive. However, that the price is on the higher side, I have limited shipment each time. It is still the most economical package for SFF system on the full-fledge Hi-end spec in HTPC. I will export more range of barebone system from HongKong, and they are all pre-installed with the standard components. U don't have to fix it yourself. Meanwhile can still consider this Blu-Ray package... My sale for 1U full-copper HSF is $50sgd.

Hi bro. I have not check my mail, but will do so and reply u soon... I have stopped the $588package as mentioned in my reply to the bro before u. I will still ship in lower spec system in a week or so. Pricing will be determined by the costs of components in the package. Will keep u updated... The HDD in the barebone system is 160G in capacity. It is those 2.5' type for the standard barebone package. In my experience 250G for small HDD is very prone to bad sector, and not very stable. 160G will be sufficient and stable enough for many application. But if u wld still like to have a higher capacity hdd, it can be arranged for customisation. ... We will discuss this in mail... Thx!

BTW, do take a look and consider if u need something like the True-HD package? The PSU is built-in within the case. Not the external type with adpter. It is 150W...

hi bro Quarx.

I will get the casing package from you 1st plus the slim dvd rom. My cousin is quite pro in fixing comp. He can help me to get budget parts in sim lim. like dat can keep my budget under 500. I think so far this is the most compact casing for core2duo system i'm looking for:D. Can advise me how to put the slim rom inside the casing? I have already PM you my contact. Thks!!!!!!!!!

Yes. I will bring in something similar soon, but price will be slightly adjusted:) AMD package is considered. It will definitely be cheaper than Intel.

Will do... Have received your contact... I'll get my brother to arrange for your pickup soon... Yes, this is by far the most versatile SFF case I had tried even for C2D, but I'm going to stop shipping this case kit package until SG currency recover (quite unlikely:()

Anyway, The slim drive is pretty staight forward to intall. U will have to remove the PSU 1st. I think your cousin can figure it out when he sees the package. All the essential accessories are intact. U can't miss out a part for your seamless setup. We'll keep in touuch via Email... Thx.

hi bro.
Thks for the deal with your casing package. May I know where to find the kind of mobo in your posting in sg? or something similar? I have tried to put my 3years old MSI P4 mobo in this casing and it fits perrfectly!!! only problem is the P4 HSF. it's too tall and the casing cover cant close. I cant use your LGA copper HSF for P4. Where can I find low profile HSF for P4. becos if I dont want to upgrade all new system, I can still use my old system in this new casing. Maybe psycology. it looks like a new system to me now. I'm very happy with this casing!!! Thks again. Pls advise.

You can go to SLS 5th floor to get a low profile P4 HSF. I paid $38sgd few month ago to help a friend to refurbish his old good-working P4 m-ATX system with my case-kit. I have posted this before. I have attached some pics for your reference here... U won't be able to mount your slimdrive with this P4 HSF, cos' it's not low enough unlike the LGA 1U cooler in my package... Anyway, this is still a good way to save $$$ in our time of awkward economy:D... U can still utilise the old system fully until u get enough cash for new mobo...

There is no way to find this mobo which I advertise here in SG... Keep your option open until u find something really worth to 'invest' upon.... Meanwhile u can enjoy this SFF case. It can take-in many types of mobo depending on user's preference, but not any m-ATX mobo that goes beyond 25cm x 25cm... It is unfussy for Intel Atom or any forms of m-itx. C2D friendly for SFF!:)

Thks bro, will check out in SLS. By the way which shop is it?

even if can't find the P4 lo-profile HSF, i will still get a core2duo board for this casing, don't want to waste it. Anyway this old P4 m-atx board is just for my testing to see wether it can really take m-atx or not. Ha ha.

Hi bro. I can't remember the shop's name, but it's at the opposite diagonal corner when u reach 5th floor escalator. Quite easy to spot. They sell alot of cables; PSU n stuffs... Yes it indeed is for many m-ATX, not to mention mini-itx and flex. That's what my thread title is about. I'm glad that u like this case. The most versatile for SFF case!

Thks bro! My cousin has pass me his old P4 1u HSF. He helped me fix up and now the slim driver can put in also. Lucky my MSI m-atx got 2 sata that I never use before. Now thinking not to upgarde already. The casing cover now close up perfectly. I will keep your LGA HSF 1st. Will maybe wait 1 more year later to change board. This old P4 system still run faster than Intel Atom in a very small casing!:D Very satisfied with this purchase! Thks very much!!!:s12:

Hi bro. Thx for the interest! The new trend of destop PC is "GO GREEN":D Therefore no need anymore power hungry PSU... New CPU threading technolgy becomes more power effecient without sacrificing it's processing power. 45nm is very very fantastic for C2D... This case package can hold mini-itx, flex n' m-ATX mobo. Max watt is 150W. When I loaded Bluray HD movies while surfing net on QQ and downloading with multi application of windows, it is only loading 115W. Never reach 130W. But choice of mobo is also crucial, That's how much power u save with such Small-Form-Factor PC for multi-task work. I will dare say it is 3x better than a hi-spec notebook with it's price and function...

BTW, I highly recmd the mobo in my barebone package. Full-fledge functions n' stability. Last 2 batches were all sold out... Shipping in new batch soon...:s7:

Hi. The Blu-ray packages will ship in together with the lower-spec packages this coming week, but the BD fully ordered. Only have to wait for next month maybe... My next HD shipment will have a G45 chipset mobo. Will be slightly higher in price, but True HD performance is better. G45 is less taxing on the CPU;)

hi there,
i need help with the 1U am2 heatsink.
there r 3 pieces. heatsink, back plate and metal piece with hole in middle.
mounting should be sth like heatsink-metal plate-cpu-backplate right.
but i cant get the hole to align properly. it seems slanted no matter how i mount it. (only 2 ways). can i do without the metal piece?
sorry for the noob qn

Hi bro. Had replied your mail... Yes, do without the thin piece of black metal. It's useless...

Are u using 3.5" HDD? U can optimise space by using sata 2.5 HDD and slimdrive without using IDE cables. This will loosen out alot...
U can upgrade to better m-itx mobo when your wallet is healthier:D

haha.
true true a 2.5" will give it some clearance.
but those small drives i've no faith on reliability.

i tink the asus M3A78-EM
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=149&l3=639&l4=0&model=2252&modelmenu=1
would totally rock on this casing as a HTPC.
everything should have enough clearance. this thing has all the ports you'll probably ever need.

Yeah bro. nice mobo with 780 chipset, but if u notice the layout of the CPU socket? The slim-drive position of this case will be blocking a fraction of the fan... That's the reason I backout on bringing a good AMD barebone this time round... Until I find one without this issue;)

Actually 2.5" is pretty stable as long as the capacity does not go beyond 250G... All laptops use 2.5 n' they are kicking.... but it's more expensive than 3.5" HDD...

hmm.
so is the GA-M78SM-S2H (rev. 1.0)
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2817
that you mentioned earlier having the same issue?
actually it's hard to tell from the pic. you'd probably need like a ruler to measure the length from the side of the board to the heatsink.
wat intel board on the market is recommended at the moment? do u sell the low profile LGA cooler separately?
