when and where generally sales are held ? departmental store or flea market kind ? or throughout japan ?

is it exactly after new year (2nd to 5th)

or would it be during the emperor's birthday (23rd ~ 26/12)

p.s sorry for the trouble , need more info :D. btw bro , do you have any info about flea markets in japan ?

really keen to go check them out. but very little info.

I think some form of seasonal sale happens (as in most countries wif seasons).
New year sales ? you mean in the form of the fuku-bukuro ? think this is like the first couple of days of new year ...

ya like snap99 said, there are also seasonal sale and also holidays sale (like golden week period).

New year period, start around 3rd Jan onward for a week, i see lots of sales around along with fukubukuro been sold.

can further explain what is fukubukuro ? have absolutely no idea what is this. any terms for it ?

bro secretzone sorry to bother you but are tabiwari flights on all year round or are they seasonal ?

thinking of going okinawa this year end but no idea how is it going to be like there or how expensive to get there.

the sales during jan is usually on winter clothings? to clear space for the spring collection. but if you need winter clothing that is the best time as the sales for branded stuff can go until 60% off.. right now there is summer sales too at the big stores like marui city

yeah! think the summer sales apply to us more..

Anges B not worth it to buy in Japan lah, Singapore also have what, personally found the shaw Isetan one carry better range than the one I went in shinsaibashi osaka, the design there tends to be more GAY..... Anyway, what i recommend is to get CDG (comme des garcons) T-Shirt or Shirt, just go down to club 21 in Hilton and have a look on their CDG price...then....i'm afraid you will buy until crazy in japan.

ehh.. i beg to differ..

Agnes B stuffs there are almost 50% off.. I bought a bag for around $100 when its on sale at $195 in SG. Designs wise, they are almost the same. Might have different colours though. I was at the Omotesando branch. I believe they have a bigger store at Aoyama, not sure how to go there though.

I agree with CDG stuffs though.. =)
