Hi all,
i'v bought a 500gb freeagent external hdd 2 weeks ago, but for the pass 2 weeks, i've been using it as a backup for my Mac's time machine, and today when i wanna backup all my stuff on my desktop, i realise that i could not launch/find the freeagent hdd from my winXP.
After i plug the usb cable to my desktop, i could see the hdd from "safety remove hardware"..it was detected as usb mass storage device..but i just couldnt find/open it from My Computer...any bros here know wads the problem??tried to google around, but no luck getting my answer:(
p/s: under disk management, my ext hdd isnt assigned with any volume like c,d,e blablabla...and the status is healty(GPT protected partition)

Is it like Disk 0 (ntfs or can be fat32, healthy) or Disk 1 (unallocated) from the pic below?

No file system, no drive letter assigned, meaning this HDD is using a file system/format not recognise by WinXP.

i was thinking maybe its my mac turns my hdd into fat32..dats y winxp cant regconise it???just a wild guess tho..dunno much about disk storage >.<

The disk is using GUID Partition Table (GPT).
So far WinXP x64 and Vista can recognise the partition on that disk.

Read question 13 and 14 for more information.
