Yes there is. PCCW operates nearly 4000 wifi hotspots in hk, u can easily get their wireless signal nearby any phone booths with wifi enabled.

HK$20 for 1-day usage, and $158 for a month of usage. Note that they only accept credit card payment.

thanks Charmandar. this will actually be my 4th trip. I actually visited all the usual places already. this time i'm going for a weekend getaway with my gf who is already there on business trip.

However i haven't been to Lai Chi Kok. u reckon its still worth going ( not for me obviously!)

Is there any other free/prepaid internet surfing that doesnot need hotspot? I going to HK soon, but I don't think where I stay is near any PCCW hotspot.:(

Where are u staying? Most phone booths around the island have wifi coverage. For everything else, there's always your friendly starbucks outlets. Starbucks outlets offer 20mins of free wifi usage if i remember correctly.
