Anybody tried to RMA their Seagate hdd through the website or do u go to the shop which u bought the hdd from for RMA?

If your drive is brought less than 7 days then you can go back to the shop for one to one replacement. More than that you need to use this link below to get the RMA number generated and choose the RMA center to return the drive for replacement.

any idea where is it located at? i cant find the address on the website.

is it possible to return the product to the shop which i brought it from instead of mailing the drive to them?

I went to their changi location and pass them the harddisk. 3 days later I received another repaired hd as replacement.

You can give it a try but bear in mind that the shop may ask you go RMA yourself.

There is 3 location which you can choose to return the drive for RMA. One of the location is at Funan center. You might want to go to Funan to return the drives for RMA. Heard that it may be possible that you may get 1 to 1 replacement if they have ready stock of the model that you are returning for RMA.

Hi guys,
my experience with the Seagate HDD RMA was,
First i did the RMA process on the web, bring the HDD to the Changi Center
About 3-7days time, they will mail the replacement hdd to your specific mail location.

nv do harddisk rma before. is harddisk reformatted after rma? can i ask to keep the files inside?

i sent my seagate hd at funan ... can't remember though which floor .. got the rma hd in a week time sent to my address

Greetings everyone. For Maxtor/Seagate harddrives, just visit the Seagate website, click on warranty, click on link return a drive as Guest User. You will have to fill up a form on the next page with the drive's part number and the serial number. Thereafter, do a printout of the page, bring it down with the drive to the replacement centre.

yes la,

together with my frd we went down to achieva few weeks ago.

Achieva do 1 to 1 exchange.
5 years warranty some more.

was informed that achieva rma staff there, they still provide 5 years leh.
But some selling at sim lim only gave 3 year.

that day i called and asked the fella asked for my seagate s/n then said the hdd not under them.. have to rma direct to seagate:( mail in to seagate 4 days ago liao but still havnt get my hdd back:(
