Is there any converters, that allows for the upgrade for the 3.5" IDE to SATA harddisks

Does this also apply for the 2.5" harddisks?

You can find converters for the connectors, so you can use your IDE HDD like a SATA HDD.
However, the converter does not upgrade your HDD, your maximum read-write speed will still be lower than a true SATA HDD.

Many thanks for the reply.

If I may find out a first estimate of the cost of such converters, and where can I get them, SLS or SLT?

These are low costes converters which converts data at a very slow speed, it is best to buy a Sata HDD rather than to convert datas using these converters. Furthermore u will also gets faulty datas converted or missing datas on many occasions.
