Thanks for your question. Heres to everyone lookin to get a new printer but clueless bout which type (inkjet or laser).

If you need to print photo, inkjet is the choice. I personally choose Canon, though Brother is cheap, all the cleaning which the printer does can really drink up your ink, even without printing, with your printer switched on all the time, your cartridges will be empty on average of 6months (90% of my customer using brother printer complains bout the waste of ink in cleaning). Not a very wise choice especially if you prefer OEM cartridges. It would be best if you choose models which uses individual ink tank, like canon printer which uses cli8 and pg5bk. Why would I recommend individual ink tank is cos if you are using tri-color cartridges, (most popular being hp cartridges where you have 3colors in one cartridge) and you usually print a sunny image, your yellow will finish up faster than the rest of the colors... unless you refill your cartridge, you would be throwin away a cartridge which still has got enough magenta and cyan to probably last for a few more photos.

If you need sharp documents like contracts, resume, legal docs... etc, you would be better off with laser printer. Laser printer produce sharper text compared to inkjet,

my usage hor. not say alot ba maybe the most a few hundred a month. sometimes quite some time no use printer cause no project etc. about 1-3 mths period.

i think i wana find one which can print out decent photo quality but sick of inkjet liaoz cause everytime must clean... waste ink. then too long no use the cartridge all empty...

The refill is very simple and the solution is available at $55 w/chip for each color.

Yes, I have compared the printouts before from Xerox C525 and C1110 to Samsung CLP 300/315 and 510 and also HP 2600/3600 and personally find that xerox & HP is of better and equally comparable quality. HP/Canon's recent printer's printout however, is slightly more glossier due to the introduction of HP colorsphere chemical grown toner.

CLP 300 however, has got a common prob of 'wrong color print', for example, a green fence on the photo can come out brown and things like that and I'm talking about OEM cartridges, so im not sure if clp315 would present the same prob.

Please note that we currently do not have solutions for Epson ink. However I do have a few bottles of ink left for your stated model if you are insterested. But no resetter. PM me if you are interested.

Quality wise, you will have to be the judge, so far I have done quite a number of sets and had repeat orders with positive feedback from my customers. I personally feel that the quality of my remanufactured set of cartridge for the HP CM1312 is quite satisfactory.

Brother are good for normal printing, very economical if you know how to refill, but if one is not careful, air bubbles may be introduced into the connecting tube to the printheads causing some streaks to appear on prints. Just don't pump in the ink too fast.

Epson are famous for their waterproof prints as the durabrite ink formula are pigment based. But once the printhead gets clogs, its a headache.

To all whose new or have had poor experience refilling their inkjet cartridge, the secret is not to pump your ink too fast. Common print quality problems like leaking or streaked prints are due to pumping in the ink too soon resulting in trapped air. Get your cartridges refilled as soon as they are running low to keep it at optimum quality.

Sorry for the late reply, My wife was the one helpin me bump the ad sometimes, so I would only be able to reply once I log in.

Some compatible cartridge can be refill, but not all, usually if you drill a hole on the top of the cartridge, you should be able to gain access to the ink reservoir. The refill is much easier than the stated canon cartridge.

You refering to Color Laser? Theres quite a number of low price color laser nowadays, HP CP1215 RRP $399, Samsung CLP 310?315 $260-289, Xerox C1110 $260++

Refill is $10 for black and $15 for color. Only cheap, no diff. Have to depend on your cartridge condition too.

Samsung clp 315 would be good, suitable for draft printing since you don't need quality printouts. compared to ink, toner has a lower running cost. furthermore, ink has a prob with nozzles clogging up easily.

You can't print on inkjet photo paper if thats what ya looking for. However, the difference is that laser produce sharper, professional prints while inkjet is good for photo printing. You have to see the printout of the same sample print from both types of printer to understand what I'm talking about.
