Good day everyone (=
Can anyone suggest a good alternative for the 3.5mm adapter that came w/ the phone?
I just had the adapter replaced the other day because it was making static sounds whenever that "thing" that connects the wire and the adapter is touched. And to be honest I was rather surprised because I have yet to do any physically demanding task using the headset. Looking at the build of that particular piece, it looks like it doesn't really take that much force to sever the connection  So I'm looking for a possible alternative, maybe something that's completely rubber molded and known to work w/ the omnia?
Thanks for sharing :s12:
Sorry for being a thread digger, but was wondering if anyone has any idea on this.
I'm contemplating getting this - but am unsure if this works for radio reception.

cute one.... comes in many colour.... but i dunno whether the flatjack is the same as omnia's...
Anyway, ebay's selling it for cheaper. Asked the guy and he mentioned that FM radio reception is supported.
Will probably get one to try it out.

Tested, FM radio cannot work properly with this adapter. Pretty neat when listening to MP3.

Thanks for the heads-up. When you mean by cannot work properly, do you mean that it can't work at all? Could you elaborate on that?
Thanks in advance..

I use my Shure with this adapter on my Omnia, when switch to FM radio, can hear very loud interference with a very faint radio station in the background even i set the frequency to class95.
Use with good MP3 track, it is very enjoyable.

Thanks for the update. Not to be so irritating, but do you think that it might be due to a earphones problem? Maybe try with some Westones? :D (just kidding)
I'm desperately trying to ditch the stock adapter for my FM radio, and till now, there seems to be no feasible option..

Sob, that's sad to hear. Guess I'll have to stick with the existing cable then.
Thanks a lot!

About $18... ordered from HK.
Apologies for being a thread digger, but I had some spare time recently, and I purchased one to see if the item's moddable. I read up about this issue, and realised that for the phone's FM function to work, PIN1 (of the connector) should be soldered to the adapter.
When I received the adapter, I realised that it could actually work, and the reception was extremely good IF I placed my thumb on the adapter (indicating a weak antenna). My original intention was to get the adapter, open it up, coil a thin rubber-coated wire inside the adapter, and solder it to PIN1.
Alas, I realised that it was rubber molded. Also realised that there was no way I could cut through the rubber without damaging the wires (there is no sheathing for the wires, so you'll definitely cut through the wires). And I did.
